Use a griffon to fly down to the insight. Consider it a one way trip unless you own a Protype Position Rewinder, since the Draining Cold effect given by the nearby ice will put you into combat. Jumping into the water takes you out of combat and allows you to re-mount.
If you don't have a griffon, it is also possible to glide down into the crevice.
