Corvin the Skaald is a skaald offering a riddle to adventurers. As a child, he was saved by Eir Stegalkin and brought to Hoelbrak, saving his life and leading him to become a great skaald.[1]

I sense a deep thirst inside you. Perhaps my rum will ease it? I'm in a playful mood today. Answer me a riddle, and I'll share with you.
Speak your riddle.
- What's sharper than the wolf's sharpest teeth, quicker than the quickest leopard, and more adaptable than a hibernating bear ?
- A sword.
- I'm going to pretend I didnt hear that. Try again.
Can you repeat the riddle?
I have to go. Good bye.
- Your rum?
- No, but you get points for creativity. Try again.
- Can you repeat the riddle?
- I have to go. Good bye.
- Me!
- (laugh) That may be true, but it's not the right answer. Give it another try.
- Can you repeat the riddle?
- I have to go. Good bye.
- Wit.
- Well done. Raven likes you.
Let me see this rum, then. - making this choice gives your character a Raven Tonic in their inventory.- That's enough for me. Never mind the rum.
- I have no time for riddles.
- (if the character has a Raven Tonic in their inventory.)
- That rum in your pack isn't doing anyone any good there. Why don't you pull it out, and we can toast the hunt![sic]
- Okay, sure.
Consuming the Raven Tonic grants the hero point.
Tell me, <Character name>. What did you think of the rum you got from me?- I'll be raven about it for years.
- (laugh) And I'll crow about your visit for even more years. Safe Journey, friend.

- Skaald Alfhildr: About Eir as a young norn. Almost as soon as she could walk, she showed the instincts of a hunter.
- Skaald Alfhildr: But it wasn't until she was as tall as a short bow that she met evil for the first time.
- Skaald Alfhildr: She came upon dragonspawn attacking a farm, killing an entire family. The daughter was one of Eir's friends.
- Skaald Alfhildr: All by herself, Eir took down three of them. She saved an injured kid and even carried him back to Hoelbrak.
- Skaald Alfhildr: That kid grew up to be a great skaald. His name is Corvin, and his life testifies to Eir's first legendary deed.
