Walkthrough[edit]
At Freetrader Haven, speak with the Dockmaster, an undercover agent for the Order of Shadows. Cross over to the adjacent ship, and clamber up to talk to Sayida the Sly. She agrees to help, but you will need to assemble a six-part recipe for some powerful knockout-strength grog:
- Powderkeg Shrapnel — found in the hold of a sunken boat northwest of The Skimming Stone (watch out for the clusters of piranhas)
- Fine Aged Liquor — on the prow of The Wobbling Skies
- Knuckle Salve — in a chest guarded by Veteran First Mate Halim, east of The Skimming Stone. Kill him to acquire the key to the chest.
- Skyclad Mushroom — up high in the Modri Caverns, next to the Skylight Vault point of interest (most easily reached with a springer heading east over the pirate ships), or bought for 350
- Astral Water — from a pool in the Astralarium, or bought for 50
- Dried Wheat — from a field in Champion's Dawn, or bought for 35
The final three can be purchased from Mehdi in exchange for Kralkatite Ore. If you'd prefer to hunt for them for yourself, speak to him and he will mark their locations on your map. When all six have been acquired, speak to him again and return to Sayida.

Dialogue[edit]
Upon emerging from the previous mission, via Taimi's communictor
- Rytlock Brimstone: Commander? Rytlock. Wanted to give you an update. The Branded here in Amnoon seem to have moved on.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Kasmeer says Kralkatorrik is still sitting in the mountains.
- <Character name>: Sounds like you've got things under control back there. I could use everyone's help here with the Sunspears.
- Rytlock Brimstone: We can head that way...but I think Taimi's having too much fun feeding rocks to her golem.
- Taimi: Scruffy is running them through his petrology spectrograph!
- <Character name>: Rock tests—I got it. Check in when you get here.
Arriving at the Freetrader Haven
- Sly Raider: So pitiful... This one delivered herself/himself right to us, just like that other lubber.
Speaking to Docmkaster Jonnick:
- Dockmaster Jonnick: On your way, outlander. Only ship's crew allowed on my docks.
- <Character name>: Wait... You're the dockmaster who helped me back in Amnoon Harbor.
- Dockmaster Jonnick: (whispered) I'm with the Order. Keep up.
- Dockmaster Jonnick: Well, if you're dead set and ready to do this, I'll let the pirates know you're here.
- Dockmaster Jonnick: Parlay!
- Sly Brawler: Parlay!
- Sly Raider: Parlay!
- Sly Cutthroat: Parlay!
- Dockmaster Jonnick: (whispered) That'll get you safe passage onto Sayida's ship. Getting back, you're on your own.
Boarding the ship:
- Sly Sharpshooter: First the hero of Istan, and now the hero of Amnoon. Looks like Captain Sayida's collecting the whole set!
- Sly Cutthroat: Whaddya say we keep him/her, and split the bounty right down the middle?
- First Mate Kiango: Stand down—this one here's under parlay. You touch him/her, you'll feel the steel of the whole Sly crew.
Speaking with Sayida the Sly:
- Sayida the Sly: So you're the commander. You'e built quite the reputation: God killer. Dragon slayer.
- Sayida the Sly: You're worth more than the last fifty souls I handed over to Joko combined.
- <Character name>: I left Joko in the Domain of the Lost. Whoever's paying bounties, it isn't him.
- Sayida the Sly: Eh, the bounty money's good. Who cares?
- <Character name>: You're not handing me over. To anyone.
After showing her the coin:
- Sayida the Sly: Where...how did you get that? That coin belongs to my family!
- Shadows Agent Kito: Which means you owe the commander.
- Sayida the Sly: You always have invisible people following you around, Commander?
- <Character name>: Probably more than I realize.
- <Character name>: So I give you the coin, you give me Zaeim. Simple.
- Sayida the Sly: Not simple. I gave him to the Mordant Crescent an hour ago in exchange for the bounty.
- <Character name>: Timing is everything... Know where they're holding him?
- Sayida the Sly: The jail in their Great Hall.
- Shadows Agent Kito: Your cozy relationship with the Mordant Crescent warden will be our ticket in.
- Sayida the Sly: We're not friends; I have to have something to give her.
- <Character name>: Give her me. Drag me to the Great Hall and tell the Mordant Crescent you've come to claim my bounty.
- <Character name>: You'll get Margrid's coin, the bounty on my head, and credit for capturing me.
- Shadows Agent Kito: Ah—and once the Mordant Crescent have you, they'll lock you up with Zaeim.
- Sayida the Sly: I don't know... I mean, what if they kill you? How do I get my coin back then?
- <Character name>: You're already getting my bounty—a gesture of good faith. Think of it as a down payment.
- Shadows Agent Kito: Or think of it as assurance that you won't double-cross us, if that helps. I'll leave you two to chat.
- Sayida the Sly: Find the brewmaster, Mehdi. Tell him we need a batch of his grog. You'll have to get the ingredients:
- Sayida the Sly: Liquor from the Alehounds, knuckle salve from the Stonefist, and shrapnel from what's left of the Powderkeg crew.
- Sayida the Sly: Word of caution: you'll probably be acquiring these things over someone's dead body. Possibly yours.
- Sayida the Sly: As for the other ingredients, Mehdi can tell you where to find them outside the flotilla. Any questions?
- <Character name>: Grog?
- Sayida the Sly: First rule of prison breaks: it's bad form to show up without a gift for your host.
Speaking to Sayida prior to leaving:
- Sayida the Sly: What else could you possibly want from me?
- I have some questions.
- What do you wanna know?
- Tell me more about this grog.
- Sayida the Sly: The ale Mehdi brews up is legendary. It can knock out even the biggest corsair.
- Sayida the Sly: Surprisingly, it smells and tastes just like any ol' strong ale, but it packs a serious punch.
- Sayida the Sly: Not even an undead stomach can keep it down for long.
- Why does each crew hold a different ingredient for this grog? (after listening to the first option)
- Sayida the Sly: It's for...let's call it insurance.
- Sayida the Sly: There was one time we made the mistake of having a single corsair guard ALL of the ingredients, while we went out carousing.
- Sayida the Sly: Woke up the next morning, to find our pockets empty and the Corsair gone. Headed north to Vabbi, apparently. With everything we had.
- Sayida the Sly: After that, we made an old-fashioned accord to store each ingredient separately. That way, we all know who's brewing up a batch.
- I have no other questions.
Speaking with Mehdi:
- Mehdi: Yeah, what? Ya lookin' for goods or for trouble?
- Sayida sent me. Said you could help me obtain some "special" grog.
- "Special," eh? Ain't never heard it called that before. Sayida tell ya the ingredients ain't easy to come by? You can go fetch 'em yourself or I can set you up if you got something worth trading for.
- I'll gather the ingredients myself if you can show me where to find them.
- Which one ya lookin' for?
- Where is the fresh water?
- Somethin' special about the water they got at the Astralarium. I'm sure they got at least a dozen books there on why that is. If you happen to be one o' them folks what read.
- I'd like to know where the other ingredients are.
- I'll head to the Astralarium, then.
- Where are the mushrooms?
- Along the cliff walls inside Modri Caverns you'll find skyclad mushrooms. Look for 'em near a natural skylight.
- I'd like to know where the other ingredients are.
- Then I'll go scale the walls of Modri Caverns.
- Where is the dried wheat?
- You'll wanna find a tree line near Champion's Dawn. Trees keep the wheat from toasting in the sun.
- I'd like to know where the other ingredients are.
- Then I'll return to Champion's Dawn.
- That's all I need. Thank you.
- What're you asking in trade?
- Got it. Thanks.
Speaking again with Mehdi, without having obtained the ingredients
- Mehdi: You still after that "special" grog?
- Can you point me to where I can find the ingredients?
- I'd prefer to just buy the ingredients.
- I was just on my way to find the ingredients myself.
Speaking again with Mehdi, after acquiring all six ingredients
- Mehdi: Well, scuttle me... Got a'holt of all the ingredients, did ya?
- I do. How long will it take you to brew up a batch?
- Done. Truth be, I always keep a few kegs on hand just in case. Fun fact: corsairs ain't exactly the most patient of folks.
- I'll let you get started on a new batch, then. Thanks.
Back at Sayida:
- <Character name>: Here's the grog from Mehdi. Care to share how, exactly, this fits into the plan?
- Sayida the Sly: Second rule of prison breaks: combat's always easier when your opponent sleeps through it.
- <Character name>: Fair. But even with guards incapacitated, there's a whole garrison of troops outside.
- Shadows Agent Kito: Leave that to me, Commander. I'll be stationed outside with the cavalry.
- Sayida the Sly: Meet me outside the Great Hall when you're ready to start your suicidal plan.
- Sayida the Sly: And, you—next time you appear on my ship without warning, be advised that I will kill you. And I will enjoy it.
Speaking to Sayida prior to leaving for the final time:
- Sayida the Sly: What else could you possibly want from me?
- I have some questions.
- What do you wanna know?
- Tell me more about this grog. (same as previously)
- Why does each crew hold a different ingredient for this grog? (same as previously)
- Can you tell me more about the different corsair crews?
- Sayida the Sly: It's a minor miracle we can trade without killing each other.
- Sayida the Sly: The Alehounds' top priority is removing anything that stands between them and their next drink.
- Sayida the Sly: The Stonefists never turn down a fight. Ever. I've seen 'em refuse to leave a sinking ship if it would interrupt a brawl.
- Sayida the Sly: The Powderkegs love to blow things up. Sometimes those things include their own ships.
- Sayida the Sly: And we Slys prefer to work behind the scenes. A word in the right ear, or a dagger in the right back, saves time and money.
- I have no other questions.
