Champion Mayatl the Fierce is the current champion of the Zintl hylek, enemies of the Itzel tribe, in Verdant Brink.

Notes[edit]
- Mayatl can be summoned by speaking with the Itzel Bladedancer next to his platform if you have Itzel Leadership mastery. After he has been defeated, there is a five minute cooldown before he can be challenged again.
- Itzel Leadership mastery is also required to open the Chest which appears after he has been defeated.
- Defeating Mayatl for the first time will award a
Heart of Maguuma Mastery Point, even though there is no related achievement. - You must have Itzel Language and Itzel Leadership masteries to summon Mayatl. When Mayatl is defeated, the award chest can only be opened if you have the Itzel Leadership mastery. While it is possible to participate in the event without the Itzel Leadership mastery you will not be able to open the award chest.
- You can only get one Itzel Lesson per day.
