During Wintersday 2012[edit]
- Wintersday, huh? I came to see what all that commotion is about. I hope it was worth leaving my office. If it's more interesting than my paperwork, I'll consider it a victory.
- What about the toymaker?
- Tixxtoxx... or whatever he's called. No one gets even close to his designs, it seems. Sounds like a challenge to me! At least if I would make toys, which I don't.
- Good-bye.
- Enjoy yourself. Or try
During Dragon Bash 2013[edit]
- Speaking to Magnus in Grand Piazza
- Yo ho! Welcome to Dragon Bash. Play Dragon Ball. Bet on the moa racing. Be merry! Just don't miss the Dragon Bash effigy ceremony.
- So what is Dragon Bash?
- It's inspired by an ancient Canthan dragon festival. Instead of celebrating dragons, we bash them. It's a chance to vent frustration on dragons that don't bash back. The Ship's Council felt we needed a little catharsis.
- What's Dragon Ball about? (Same as below)
- What was that about moa racing? (Same as below)
- What's an effigy ceremony? (Same as below)
- I see. Thanks.
- What's Dragon Ball about?
- Go find out! The competition is rough, but Dragon Ball is a lot of fun.
- What was that about moa racing? (Same as below)
- What's an effigy ceremony? (Same as below)
- So what is Dragon Bash? (Same as above)
- Excellent. Thanks.
- What was that about moa racing?
- Somebody figured out how to make 'em all run in the same direction for once! Pick your favorite and lay your bet down.
- So what is Dragon Bash? (Same as above)
- What's an effigy ceremony? (Same as below)
- What's Dragon Ball about? (Same as above)
- Sounds interesting.
- What's an effigy ceremony?
- We're going to light effigies of dragons on fire and watch them burn! It's a pirate thing.
- Can you mark my map with the location?
- With pleasure. I'll be there speechifying, so be sure to cheer loudly for me.
- So what is Dragon Bash? (Same as above)
- You bet.
- Yeah, sure.
During Bazaar of the Four Winds[edit]
- Hello there. A little bird told me you might be coming.
- Can you tell me about the Bazaar of the Four Winds?
- It's a spontaneous, less-than-legal, bazaar that pops up on occasion. It attracts a menagerie of merchants and folks wanting to trade. Words can't do it justice. You better just head on over.
- How do I get there?
- Go on down to Sanctum Harbor, here in Lion's Arch, and speak to the Labryinthine Cliffs Transport Facilitator. They'll put you on a ship to the Labyrinthine Cliffs. From there, just follow your nose.
- On my way.
- And now I'm going. Bye.
During Escape from Lion's Arch[edit]
- Dig in and ready yourself for a fight. Scarlet's thugs are not taking this fort!
- What's happening?
- That lunatic Scarlet came from the skies, burning and gassing the city. We're holding Fort Marriner so people can flee to safety and so we can gut Scarlet's thugs.
- Thanks.
- I'm ready.
During Battle for Lion's Arch[edit]
- First time talking to Magnus after completing Scarlet's End on that character
- Do you have news about the attack on Scarlet? I've been anchored here, giving her minions a lesson in my fists and blades.
- I bring good news. I slew Scarlet Briar.
- You sunk that mad lass. The city owes you a debt. I owe you one. You brought liberation to Lion's Arch. Thank you, friend. You did damn well today.
- What happens now?
- We do to her minions what you did to her. None of her minions will leave this city alive.
- Understood.
- Nothing yet.
- Ambient dialogue on informing Magnus of Scarlet's death
- Captain Magnus the Bloody-Handed: Now that's good news. Everyone, listen. This <lass/lad> here put the blade to Scarlet's throat!
(Lionguards cheer)
- After informing Magnus that you have killed Scarlet Briar
- The killer of Scarlet! Welcome! What can I do for you?
- How's the retaking of Lion's Arch going?
- Scarlet's dead, but her minions aren't. Damn fools are still fighting. Suits me fine. It means we'll clean them out faster.
- There's still fighting on the airship.
- I don't think her watchknights know or care if Scarlet's dead. They'll just keep fighting until they're scrap.
- Scarlet's airship—it doesn't look stable. (Same as below)
- And Lion's Arch will be ours again.
- Scarlet's airship—it looks unstable.
- Yeah, I've been spying on that flying derelict for a while. Since Scarlet got chopped, that drill started going down faster and faster.
- Scarlet jammed the controls. There wasn't a way to stop it.
- Hmm. Once we broke Scarlet's army, we'll figure out how to blast the drill and ship out of the bay. Heh, that'll be a sight.
- How's the retaking of Lion's Arch going? (Same as above)
- Take care.
- I'm good for now.
Before Lion's Arch reconstruction[edit]
- If killed Scarlet Briar
- Let me get a look at you. I knew it—the Scarlet killer. You did a fine job on that platform. You saved this fair city and gave people hope. Thank you.
- What's next for Lion's Arch?
- I take what's left of my Lionguard and try to keep peace. If we can't make this place secure, we may as well abandon ship.
- Scarlet's dead. How is the city not safe?
- Between you and me, we're spread too thin. I find myself praying to the Spirits more and more that nothing else happens to Lion's Arch.
- Good luck.
- Good-bye.
- If didn't kill Scarlet Briar
- Good to see another visitor. Don't mind if I squint a bit. I'm getting used to this damn eye patch. All things considered, trading my eye for Scarlet's death was worth it.
- Scarlet took your eye?
- When she attacked the city, I lost my eye. Never paid her back for that. Someone else took a blade to her throat before I could.
- Too bad.
