Winter Sage is a flower that can revive people who have succumbed to a deep, restless sleep. The flowers are fragile and thrive in dark, damp conditions. They can only be found deep in the Grekvelnn Burrows which are populated by hostile grawl.
In 1325 AE, the Slayer of Issormir recovered one of these flowers from the cave in order to help awaken Apprentice Valda whose body had been spiritually reacting to the torture of her mentor, Havroun Solvi, at the hands of the Sons of Svanir.
