Wassa
Wassa is a lazy asura laying on his back watching the sun at the top of First Haven.
Location[edit]
Dialogue[edit]
- During day
- Do you ever wonder where the stars go during the day? Maybe the sun acts as a giant magnet, attracting them into one supersolar construct before dissipating them at night.
- Staring at the sun all day isn't healthy. Don't you have work to do?
- Not particularly. There's nothing going on that they can't handle.
- I don't think that's the point.
- Hmm, I did't account for that second solar body. My theory doesn't make much sense.
- That's right.
So, there are two suns out there at once? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
- You have? I knew it! Wait, if they had the same idea, I need to get working on a thesis. Can't let them beat me to the punch and get all the glory.
- You do that.
You know, I've heard the exact same theory from a very reliable source.
- I better go now.
- During dawn and dusk
- This in-between time is so awkward. Not quite day, not quite night. Everything would be so much more elegant if it were a simple on-off switch. None of this halfway malarkey.
- Isn't there a job you should be doing?
- Not particularly. There's nothing going on that they can't handle.
- I don't think that's the point.
- How insightful. Transitions are indeed required for change. I wonder if I can prove that scientifically... with fire and some beakers, of course.
- I wish you luck.
Transitions like this are key. One doesn't simply become. Change is a necessary process.
- Wow. That's rather scary. You do have all the required external appearances the part though. Violence just radiates off of you.
- Yup, that's me.
I transition things from alive to dead. No in-between there.
- Good talking to you
- During night
- Aren't the stars just stunning? They must have unfathomable magical energy to shine so brightly all the time. If we could harness that power, the results would be phenomenal.
- Shouldn't you be working or something?
- Not particularly. There's nothing going on that they can't handle.
- I don't think that's the point.
- Finally, someone with vision. Most others don't understand my genius. Your support will not be unwarranted. One day I'll be great, just wait and see.
- I'm sure you will. Take care.
I'm sure a wise asura such as yourself could do much with that kind of power.
- My father used to say "results are only limited by one's ambition, intelligence, and resources." You may be right though. I'll need a plan.
- Good luck.
True, but I think your ambition may be beyond your means.
- They are very pretty. Good-bye.
- During Defend First Haven from Risen
- They just keep coming! Please don't tell anyone I'm up here. I don't want to die.
- I don't know. I'm not a fighter, but you're right. Something needs to be done. Hiding doesn't solve anything. They'll find me eventually.
- I...I...yes. I can't hide forever. It's time to stand up to those shambling corpses. If I don't make it, remember me when you look at the stars at night.
- I'm proud of you. Now, to battle!
Then join the fight. Show the undead that good, brave people still exist in Tyria.
- Anytime.
This is time for heroes. Take up arms and help us win the day.
- Stay out of sight. Maybe they won't come up here.
- During Recapture First Haven from the Risen
- Is it over? I haven't heard any screams for a while. I think I may be the only one alive. Oh, I never thought it would end like this.
- What happened down there?
- The undead swarmed in from the swamp and killed everyone in the fort. It was a terrible sight. I should know, with my terrific vantage point up here.
- One who would have been slaughtered just like everyone else. It's only a matter of time anyhow. They're bound to find me eventually.
- Let me take care of the undead. You stick to your strengths with hiding.
You sat up here and watched them all get slaughtered? What kind of person are you?
- Stay here. I'll check out the fort.
- I'm sure no one did.
