They will be kind and powerful.

They, by the will of Isgarren, will better this world.

Vow of the Warden

— Vow of the Warden[2]

I, Taryn, Warden of the Astral Ward, sign my name in mine own blood as a promise to Isgarren and the beings of the Wizard's Court. I vow to protect the secret of the court and its wizards, as I vow to protect Tyria from the many threats that linger within the obscure. I will act as a shield for those who have no shirt, and I will watch the ancient magics that seep from the Mists. While war rages as the elder beasts rise and slumber, I will keep my eyes to the sky and to the Mists beyond. In Isgarren's name: Tyria will not fall to anything but its own actions.
