Nice Design[edit]
Very interesting and clean format. (just a note, Like the Amulets/Pendants Rings are occasionally Bands and Earrings are occasionally Studs) Please forgive my intrusion into your sandbox. XeroKitsune 08:09, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
- no complaint at you psting comments here.... Just bewware that i may not notice them. My talk page however, will notify me directly. I aimed for a design that even I could understand. If jewelry is anything like the tailor, there will be an assortment of special recipes that fall outside the simple templates I created on the page. The challenge is we didn't design the system. Arena-Net did that. We are trying to map their system from the outside. Torrenal 08:25, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
- A very Very nice description of the basic Jeweler Crafting mechanics Thank you. It Should be noted that 2 gemstones and or jewels and dust create a refined gemstone, and that accessory recipes can use basic gemstones, refined gemstones or either of the above that have been enhanced with Filigree. The only confusion and consternation is the a) level of discovery, b) the level required to use a particular material, or enhanced material, c) the level of the recipe to create more after discovery, d) the level to Equip, and e) the naming conventions of each and every separate and distinct Recipe and the distinct item name it creates. As of last BWE identical Icons were used for Several Groups of accessories but the Icons did change based on the fundamental changes of material levels used. Hopefully when the art department has time they will at least Tint the different icons based on the gemstone in it , if not create new and unique icons for each and every item. - I aimed this at being a 'Generic Way To Make Stuff' page. The idea is the user will drill into items to get more detailed recipes which follow the listed forms. The wiki is electronic, no need to stick to old-school paper formats for presenting content. I'll probably want to break up the gems into categories not unlike how I'm breaking up Ingots -- Torrenal 17:00, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
- Maybe a slightly more complex bit, since the main confusion in Jeweler is the around the upgraded jewels? Tweaked naming on the refinement to next level gemstone(since the refinement normally just jumps the previous level's gems to the next level) and put in a bit more complexity into the Ring to see what ya thought about it. One of the complaints of when I simplified the page a bit was I was making the Upgraded Jewels look useless.
- Just a note, at least so far I have yet to see any Jeweler ingots that are alloys. XeroKitsune 12:40, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
