Dialog Template[edit]
Awesome. Thanks for template. Unfortunetly I wasn't recording and was just doing screenshots. And I missed some. Hopefully there will be some videos out there soon to fill in the blanks. I am not happy with the icons I uploaded for Cancel and Quest continue. I didn't do Hi-rez sceenshot. Will try and get better ones next time.Kenrid 20:46, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
Scrapyard Dogs[edit]
When you did Scrapeyard Dogs, who was your surviving warband member? I got a different response when I had Maverick, he said: "Luccia may be old, mad, and deaf as a stump, but she's no joke. I've seen her fight." I think each warband member may have their own responses. Kenrid 00:05, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- I had Reeva. I know for certain some missions have different text depending on your warband member. Reeva is referenced by name in some, so those I've stated :(If Warband Survivor is Reeva) before the text. The Scrapyard Dogs mission text was a bit more ambiguous since it didn't mention her. Glad you went through with another warband to help find the differences. But it tells me it'll be a monumental task to collect all dialogue for all storyline branches with all warband members. --Thervold 01:30, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- You can take a look at what I did on Scrapyard Dogs and Ghostbore Musket. Warband member indented and can list them as they come up. But .. there is another thing that varies dialog. If player character is male or female. I saw this on Welcome Home of Human-Noble. Faden talks a little different to female character. lol Don't blame him. And for non-important NPS as well. Party member talks to female character about how cute Logan is, while with male character she flirts with the player character. Might be better to keep dialog on pages down to what is essential to the mission, don't bother with random comments from NPCs unless it really seems important.Kenrid 01:44, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- I think I just put everything down to avoid having to make judgement calls on what is important. Sometimes dialog isn't really important to the quest at hand, but it adds character to the NPCs. I would say getting the less important text is definitely a low priority, especially compared with mission-related text, but it would be something I think in the long term of the wiki that would be nice to have if possible. --Thervold 02:26, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Next BWE[edit]
Hey, Thervold. If you plan on getting more storyline captures next BWE, lets talk about which ones and which story options we want to do. So we don't end up doing the same ones. :) Kenrid 18:58, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds good. It does look like the two of us were the only ones to take extensive documentation of the story events. It's almost a shame that we chose almost the exact same stories to cover. Anything outside iron/loyal charr and commoner or noble/sister human could use extensive work. If either asura or sylvari are available for the next BWE, there will be quite a lot of missing information. I made an instinct norn (don't remember the "Moot Event" choice right now). I'll probably try playing that a bit during tomorrow's stress test. But I'm not sure how much I'll be able to accomplish since I can only play when my baby is napping. --Thervold 19:34, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
- Work will keep me from the stress test. But next BWE I'll make a Norn and do Cunning/Revenge, seems most lacking currently on Norn side. If my previous charr character is there, they were just begining the loyal soldier, and I can continue to get the missing quest choice from that. Kenrid 01:38, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Found screenshots of my small venture into the norn story... apparently I was cunning, not instinct. I have screens for Wild Spirits, but of course, it's one of the only ones completely filled out. --Thervold 03:47, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Mystic Forge[edit]
I see you added some pics to the Mystic Forge article.
- Did you just goto the article I linked to...
- Save the images to your computer...
- Then upload them here?
... Or is there an easier way. I am trying to expand my knowledge about editing, so any info would be appreciated. I had intended to add the images, but I was distrac... OH! A BUTTERFLY!!! Frostty1 22:41, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
- Basically what you said. Downloaded from the blog to local, uploaded from local to wiki. When uploading images, there's a little dropdown which automatically adds the appropriate categories. It's quite simple, really. The most complicated part is the wiki code for the thumb, but even that isn't complicated. And you can look at other pages if you (like me) forget parts of it. And for future reference, look how Infinite changed the reference. It makes it more clear to the reader where the source came from. --Thervold 03:11, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
Jade maw bug[edit]
Hey, curious what the bug is like. Did it mean that the fight continued, or that you had to wipe the party after? Fresh Berry Smoothie 17:25, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Only one player survived the final death blast from the Jade Maw. The survivor immediately when to the corner (near where you enter) to rez a player. Half way through the rez, the whole encounter reset as if we had wiped. --Thervold 18:23, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Wow that really sucks. Thanks for the clarification, going to edit the jade maw page to reflect that Fresh Berry Smoothie 19:14, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Creating pages with infoboxes[edit]
Hi there, please avoid creating infoboxes with blank parameters, e.g. | randomparameter1 = - this can cause some wierd results for categories, smw and dpl. Also, don't use | icon = {{PAGENAME}}.png - its redundant with deleting the parameter altogether :) (yeah I know you're probably copying off a page somewhere which is a bad example xD). God I'm moany today.-Chieftain Alex 18:21, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. Thanks for the update. I was indeed just copying off another page. --Thervold 18:23, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- :D thanks for fixing them. -Chieftain Alex 18:27, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- The general rule is that infoboxes default to
{{PAGENAME}}.png
for icons and{{PAGENAME}}.jpg
for screenshots (or things like{{PAGENAME}} map.jpg
for an area map, etc.). Parameters likeicon
orscreenshot
should only be used when the filename differs from this pattern, and only if the file cannot be renamed to fit the pattern for some reason. - Finally, wiki variables like
{{PAGENAME}}
are meant to be used within templates, so the template can adapt to the page it gets used on. Using them within a normal article is silly and should be met with a marshmallow cannon. —Dr Ishmael 18:57, 30 January 2013 (UTC)- Got it. Thanks for the clarification. Since my wiki knowledge is mediocre at best, I usually just copy and paste from another template with the assumption that the other template was done correctly. Of course, that's not always a good assumption to make... --Thervold 21:05, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Attribute Ratios for Ascended Items[edit]
I think there's a couple issues with this table:
- You have somehow concluded that jewels give 32/18 on amulets and rings, and that back items also have something giving 32/18, but on back items that's the inherent bonus and the jewel gives something else? Isn't it much simpler and more plausible to interpret the 24/17 as the back item inherent bonus and say that jewels give 32/18 on all equipment types? (That's what this page assumes.) The 24/17 bonus is even listed above the 32/18 one on most back items.
- The "jewel minor" bonus is trading +18 something for +4% critical damage on both amulets and rings, but somehow this is a 1:5 ratio on amulets and a 1:4 ratio on rings?
--Felbryn 20:54, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
- I made this table while ill, so you're probably right. Feel free to correct the mistakes. --Thervold 05:28, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Ascended Accessories?[edit]
Your comment on a recent edit to Agony mentions ascended accessories. Where/when did you see these? They aren't mentioned in the patch notes or list of ascended equipment and this is the first I've heard of them. --Felbryn 23:21, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
- Guild Commendation Vendor or Laurel Vendor in LA (and probably other major cities) --Thervold 00:13, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
I think you may have your terminology wrong: trinket is the collective term for amulets, rings, and accessories. There are ascended amulets and rings, but no accessories yet. They were added today. Ugh. —Dr Ishmael 01:20, 27 February 2013 (UTC)- Gotta get with the times, Ish :) --Thervold 03:29, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Mystic Forgesmith[edit]
Your edit to the Daily page under Mystic Forgesmith which says, "If you have the boosters, you can easily create then reopen Booster Multipacks at only the cost of the Leather Bag" is unclear. Please consider clarifying this post. It seems that it could be helpful information so please clarify or elaborate. --Musha 09:51, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
