Name[edit]
I like the name you have chosen: very evocative and RPG-appropriate.
Also, a belated welcome to the wiki! – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:55, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Haha, thank you ^_^
- Strangely enough it came about almost completely random-like. I made a mesmer as probably my very first GW1 character, because at that time the fast-casting sounded like you'd be able to quickly kill with high-damage ele or necro skills, or something. So, my mesmer needed a name, and I stumbled upon a naming theme while watching the movie Stardust ("we are all stardust", or "we, too, are stardust"). Figuring "stardust" was probably overused, I settled on star-fleck (flecks from the stars). My mesmer would be called Luna Starfleck (sounds somewhat mysterious or illusionary), then from there I'd do more profession-appropriate, like Aurora Starfleck for my assassin with red hair (chose A/Ele to boot), Starfleck The Mighty (shortened to Almighty for character limit) for a necro that would take /War and go with strong bloodstealing touch skills to use with melee attacks (/facepalm... I know), and other such names. I also ended up deleting another necro character named Black Starfleck, who was a black necro with a white mohawk, which ended up being a bad idea >.< and various others. Somehow, and idk if this is simply because I started playing better, or because minions in PvE was dramatically better than my other ideas, the Almighty survived, the Aroura got put on the backburner (now my best SC sin), and Luna became the name of my rerolling pvp character.
- And so the naming convention was born. --Starfleck 17:24, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
