GW1 content on GW2 wiki[edit]
Hiya Kora,
Just a heads up that the GW2W is for content which is present in GW2 context only. Any content which relates back to GW1 and has not been mentioned/has a significant role (weight of what is significant can be argued) should be placed in the GW1 wiki. There is absolutely no problem placing a GW1 wiki link in the GW2 wiki pages. -Darqam (talk) 03:10, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Waypoints[edit]
Heya,
Since I couldn't include this note in the waypoint page revert I'll say it here. If you want to change that note, it's fine but you should present argument from anet dev for such a *bold* claim. Referencing, what seems to be, your own twitter response is hardly a valid claim. Now if there is more to this theory than one simply tweet from an unofficial source I would be glad to see it there; however given that I've not seen this before in such words or presentations I am very skeptical. -Darqam (talk) 22:28, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't sure if having a dev confirm my theory on twitter would count or not but as the saying goes "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." I was hoping that linking to the twitter conversation which includes Peter Fries saying that my theory looked correct would count as I know I've seen other pages reference Reddit. I'm perfectly okay with reverting the page if you feel it appropriate. I'm still learned how to be the best wiki helper that I can be, but know I have a lot to learn. In fact, I'm hoping that I'm replying to you correctly but am not sure. Like I said, learning. Thank you for taking the time to help me grow and before a better member of the wiki community. -KoraOfTheBlushingDawn 22:40, 3 November 2016 (
- So, I did fail to see the full twitter explanation and as such started a conversation Talk:Waypoint#Waypoint_Inconsistency. Feel free to throw any additional thoughts or details not presented in the edit. As I said there, I am no longer 100% sure I was correct in reverting it, so the talk page should let the community talk about it a bit. -Darqam (talk) 23:01, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
Statues[edit]
Just an fyi, the statues that need new pictures guild hall decorations, not the ones in Divinity's Reach. - Doodleplex 02:18, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- OH! Sorry about putting the incorrect images in and thank you so much for letting me know! I will try to be more careful to avoid similar mistakes in the future. -User:KoraOfTheBlushingDawn
- The DR statues have a naming convention of "Statue of <God>" as per the object names, while decorations are "<God> Statue" as per the decoration name. Can be confusing. But ultimately it's the same model, just different sizes (I think), so it's not all bad. I think the DR statues are good though - it's the two Orrian variants that need images (the ones throughout open world Orr are a little faded in detail, while in Arah they look skeletal and corrupted). ;) You can figure out which are missing here (first line = DR statues; second line = GW1 styled statues in GW2; third line = Arah-styled corrupted statues; 4th line = unique statues.Konig (talk) 07:22, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
Night Time isn't the Right Time[edit]
Don't take picture at night of NPCs, it makes them look really yellow, and un-natural. =x Also just a suggestion, but you may want to check this out. - Doodleplex 06:17, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, thanks for the link with info to help me improve. -User:KoraOfTheBlushingDawn
- Totally okay! You're quite helpful, so I just want to help you be even more awesome. ^_^ - Doodleplex 06:24, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- I'll step in and change "quite helpful" to "very much so". I really appreciate that you are going through so many pictures and grabbing higher res, and better visual quality ones. It always hurts me a little to see bad images on the wiki, so I'm very happy with what you've done so far. -Darqam 13:38, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- I'm so glad! It takes time to get some of the shots so I'm glad that others are finding my efforts helpful :D -User:KoraOfTheBlushingDawn 12:54, 22 November 2016 (PDT)
- Every time I login, ingame it is always night. Without fail. :D -Chieftain Alex 18:22, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- That just means you're Batman, because he appears/works at night. =3 - Doodleplex 18:32, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
