American Edumacation[edit]
We're at #18 in terms of world rank when it comes to public education. We have some of the worst&the best teachers in the world, and the main thing is that it's very inconsistent. We have high school teachers teaching math, while only having a highschool degree and failed at math themselves when they took the class years ago...Others have multiple PhD's in prestigious private schools. But the former is more prevalent when it comes to public education in the states. Nice to know that there is someone else that can translate Japanese to English :). ^_^ --Lania 21:11, 04 November 2010 (UTC)
- Heh, yeah, I realize there's inconsistency in the quality of teachers in the U.S., but I suppose the same can be said for any public education system, really. I'm not sure where Canada ranks, though, so I'm unable to make a completely accurate comparison in my head. Still, I suppose anyone could call themselves an "English teacher" online and give out terribad advice.
