Hi! It looks like people find this page somehow and they end up getting pretty confused. First off, there is zero reason to use hexadecimal numbers whatsoever and there never was, even years ago when the original page was made. You can just use the decimal numbers.

boss_encounter_ids_user is also no longer used by the addon, the setting is now stored within boss_encounter_ids2 and encoded in a very different way. There is a pretty nice interface within arcdps settings now that allows you to set it without having to go into the ini file, and no restarts are needed as there is an apply button. --Sejsel (talk) 10:36, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

• Hello! Thank you for providing that information. Feel free to add it or edit the explanation section. This page is intended as a project for me to 'collect' the ids of all encounters we often did, such as fractals and dungeons, and not a guide to set up arc logging. Nonetheless I copied that part over from the previous user as I found some explanation was required, and at the time of writing that worked. I will add an 'outdated' banner to the page, for I haven't had the time to actively play the game nor keep the wiki updated. As for how people find this page, google indexes the wiki.
