"undiscovered" items/recipes

I've noticed that the APIs are somewhat untrustworthy when it comes to this. For example, the items API doesn't list Basic, Fine, or Master Salvage Kits, even though they've obviously been discovered by players.

For the recipes, some of the ones you listed are duplicates. My chef knows the following recipes from your list, but they have different IDs:

Your IDs were 2859, 2926, 2935, and 2954. I don't know about the rest, because they're definitely not discoverable. Possibly duplicates with slightly different names (Veggie Snack = Handful of Bjarni's Rabbit Food learned from Recipe: Bjarni's Celery Snack?), possibly have been removed from the game (Bottle of Ginger Marinate, Bottle of Ginger Dressing), or have to be learned from recipe sheets sold by vendors that no one has found yet (Ogre Hummus). —Dr Ishmael 12:58, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Ah, interesting. I figured many of them were undiscoverable after I saw the entry for the Vital Crude Scepter. I found it hard to believe that it had never been made. I should probably add a column to the list stating whether or not the recipe is actually discoverable. Maybe an ANet employee will stumble upon this and clean things up.
