Balance patch preview

Please note that the balance patch preview is a one-to-one-copy of this forum post that most likely will be used also in the actual game update notes on tuesday (so changing this only hurts us because we have to reformat it again otherwise). Don't see why we can't improve the order and the heading levels for readability purposes. If people want to see the original text, they can go to the original source. Which I had also linked in the first sentence, but you also removed. AdjutantAvocado (talk) 20:50, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

First, the idea of this post is to represent the exact forum post enhanced by wiki links and in-game icons for better readability. If the ANet devs decided to structure it this way then in my opinion we should also keep it this way. Be honest to the wiki users, don't abuse their trust by modifying the actual direct copy.

Second, as I said, almost certainly it will be reused in the game update notes which is a direct copy of the forum post. Check the history page to see how many editors already adjusted little things to get it right. Having this to do again on tuesday is just nonsense.

If you really insist on improving it, feel free to create a new page and modify it there, but note that in four days those pages will get deleted anyways. --Tolkyria (talk) 21:05, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Haha, yup, having two separate Discipline sections is definitely intentional, we definitely shouldn't abuse the users' trust by combining them. Then why did you remove the direct link to the official source? The entire purpose of a community wiki is a source of information that's an improvement over official in-game or forum sources. But you can tell yourself whatever to make feel important. Normally I'd agree with Tolkyria in that the game update patch notes should be verbatim as far as possible off the forum to avoid misrepresenting the official patch notes. However, the duplicate tactics section is clearly unintentional and we should combine them imo. -Chieftain Alex 11:32, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
