Unexplained removal of content[edit]
Hello. Your edits so far (1 & 2) have only involved the removal of valid content, so please do explain why you think the event timer should be removed. If you persist in removing content without an explanation I will unfortunately block you. -Chieftain Alex 02:00, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
- the event timer causes perpetual refreshing of the page, when trying to read the page, and it refreshes... very annoying
- Thank you for responding, i will look into it. I believe this is an issue mostly associated with older browsers, so unfortunately I would like to ask you which browser you use? This will help me targeting bugs. -Chieftain Alex 17:02, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- edit: interesting, i didn't realise this affects IE9 too. -Chieftain Alex 17:03, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

- I'm using firefox 45.0.2
- It refreshed on me in Firefox(which is whatever version is the most recent) at the top of the hour, but I don't recall it ever doing so on Google Chrome. Just putting that in here for you Alex. - Doodleplex 17:20, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you very much Mr IP - I was completely unaware that the notation for the setInterval method was different between internet explorer and other browsers. I have applied a fix which seems to be working on my browser emulator, however I cannot truly test it on IE9 myself. If you would be able to give me some feedback on whether it now works for you or not, that'd be brilliant. Thanks again for your patience. -Chieftain Alex 17:50, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- Also small note: you will probably have to clear your browser's cache (ctrl + f5) before you will notice any changes. -Chieftain Alex 17:53, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
