- Character History: Miranda is meant to be the direct descendant of Verona Scintillion, one of my oldest characters from the original Guild Wars, and an Ascalonian Mesmer meant to be from a noble family of Rin. Unlike her ancestor, Miranda is more pragmatic when it comes to her heritage, and the benefits that it entails. Like some of the more far-sighted nobles of Divinity's Reach, she has come to the conclusion that the age of nobility is reaching its inevitable metamorphosis from lineage to merit. The noble families who accept the gradual dissolution of serfdom, and the rise of the free man via education and labor-saving technology, will forge ties with the common man that lead to loyalty and greater prosperity for everyone. Much like her friends, Hiram Goldshot and Jan Kyrthandros, she believes that it is the duty of the nobles to lead and protect the commoners to the best of their ability, which is why she joined the Durmond Priory in its pursuit of knowledge. She is one of my favorite classes, the Mesmer, and was the fourth character that I played when Guild Wars 2 was released.
