"telling off"?[edit]
All I said was, "if you think it should be done, do it," aka be bold. I don't understand how you see that as "telling off." —Dr Ishmael 17:14, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Lol - you sounded a bit cross, so I covered my arse :D My sense of humour can take some getting used to ;) — snograt 20:59, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well gee whiz, thanks for warning him, Felix. :P Snog, I apologize - I was really just annoyed in general at people that can't name their images right, I wasn't cross with you at all. —Dr Ishmael 00:23, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Mad skillz[edit]
Did your charr ranger age backwards?! - anja 06:09, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- I knew someone would notice >.< Ok, so first time I did it from memory, and last night I put in the actual ages - my memory is like a seive. — snograt 12:18, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Haha I see :D I'm glad you didn't somehow defy the laws of the game ;) - anja 16:03, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

- Hah. It's a recurrent problem that only occurs on the iPad. I edit a section to add a comment, the wiki throws an error 503, then the entire page is replaced with the section I edited. Pain in the arrrrrrse. — snograt 22:54, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

waaaa[edit]
Story mode Arah is actually pretty easy - people mostly avoid it because it's super long, but enough people have done it now that at least someone in a pug will probably know what to do. And people aren't running around at level 80 in blues and greens anymore...last time I did it, the main challenge was trying not to fall asleep. The addition of the PvP Reward tracks for dungeons also gave a lot of people a reason to run story mode Arah again, so you should try to capitalize on that while you can. I've heard it's actually soloable if you felt like doing that, since the only thing you really need party members for is the pressure plates, or something...
As for Badges of Honor, you can actually get a ton of them via Achievement Chests, so it's possible to earn enough without ever entering WvW. Hitting rank 14 to be able to buy the gift was easier to do if you got people a few levels before they consolidated wxp... lots of free bonus chests and boosters. If all else fails, though, you can spend laurels for Taste of Liquid World Experience. That's one rank per bottle. It's a much better deal than spending laurels on Obsidian Shards (how hard is it to earn 2100 karma in a day?). Only other use laurels have for making legendaries is the Heavy Crafting Bag for T6 fine materials, but that's still not a great deal. Three of any of those materials is maaaaaybe 1 gold at most...which you could get from running any dungeon.
Good luck though - feels like it'll still be years before I finish Bolt and Twilight, and I'm almost done... Vili 点 21:31, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
- thanks for that, Vili - you've cheered me up no end! Nice to "see" you again, too - it's been a long time since we last "talked" ^_^ — snograt 21:47, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
story arah[edit]
I'm running my alts through story mode Arah. I'd invite you to come along, but I am guessing you play in EU region? Which I don't think can interact with NA players, even across lfg tool... Vili 点 00:49, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the offer, but yes - I'm in the desolation of Europe :( — snograt 03:30, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
Tables[edit]
Tables are easy, like this!
Header row! | |
---|---|
Row 1 column 1 | Row 1 column 2 |
Row 2 column 1 | Row 2 column 2 |
Tadaa!! - anja 15:13, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- Ooh, I shall study that most studiously - thank you, armor-lady :) — snograt 15:17, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
Heading 1 | Heading 2 |

Row 1 column 1 | Row 1 column 2 |
Row 2 column 1 | Row 2 column 2 |
- looks good though. -Chieftain Alex 16:22, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- You should make the second row a (sub)header. Just change the pipe at the start of the line to an exclamation point.

- I do not know how to make this compatible with Real Tables(tm) using STDT and stuff. Vili 点 20:30, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- {{STDT}} is just putting class="table" at the top of the table. its the same usage. -Chieftain Alex 21:59, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- That's good thinking. I nicked a table for a legendary just to fiddle, and I thought it would be hard work. All the info is there, but it's a mess. As you say, I need totals. (This one, I mean). Not totally decided on which one I want, though I do love me a nice sniper rifle. Not very lore-y, though - but then again, I'm not Konig. — snograt 23:52, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Actually, I just looked at your code, Vili. It's very clever, but wouldn't {{yes}} and {{no}} be easier as they're already "there?" — snograt 23:57, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, I just looked at it again. I have NO idea what it's doing, but it's cleverer than I thought. I think. What's a circle? :D — snograt 00:01, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

, i.e. she substituted the template code into the wikitext. You're right, just using the templates is easier. :) —Dr Ishmael 01:22, 1 May 2014 (UTC) - I used {{subst:yes}} and {{subst:no}}, which puts the contents of those templates onto the page. You can look at Template:Yes and Template:No. The main reason to do this is because it avoids linking to the template, Special:Whatlinkshere, and sometimes various categorization bullshit.
- But yes, simply {{yes}} and {{no|red}} work just as well. Vili 点 01:26, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
