Here are what will be my Guild Wars 2 characters:
Main
- Name - Rin Aki
- Race - Human
- Profession - Thief
- Personality and Background - Descended from a long line of skilled fighters, Rin is naturally gifted in combat. She has extremely quick reflexes, amazing agility and perfect precision. What she lacks in brute strength, she makes up for with incredible martial skill.
- She is without family, as they were all killed in the fight against the centaurs. And now she lives rough on the streets of Divinity's Reach. However, she does not complain about her life. She is a free and wild spirit, who takes each day as it comes. Though the death of her sister lays heavy on her mind, as she never managed to recover her body, she has vowed to one day complete this task. In the meantime, she roams the streets or most likely the wilds, looking for adventure and challenge, to try to improve her skills.
- Because of Rin's life style, she has had to turn to the occasional theft in order to stay alive. Stealing the odd bit of coin here and there, to pay for food when her hunts are unsuccessful. However, she only ever steals from those who can afford the loss and never takes more than she needs. Because of this and because of her skill in the shadow arts, she has gone unnoticed by the law of the city.
- Rin's personality is that of a happy go lucky adventurer. She fears for nothing other than the safety of her friends and loved ones. But for all her carefree ways, she is often a quiet and thoughtful sole. She has a strong moral code, even though she robs the occasional gold from the nobles, and will put her life on the line to help those in need. She has a happy heart and a good sense of humour. And when the mood takes her, she often plays small pranks on people using the many stealth techniques she has learnt over the years. But for all her levity, she understands the threat the elder dragons pose and often feels she should do something to help destroy them. Maybe one day she will have the skill and the knowledge to do so.

- Race - Asura
- Profession - Engineer
- Personality and Background - Rin has always been more interested in mathematical equations and logical solutions than magical conundrums. As a young Asura he was always making mechanical gadgets of some kind. As he grew so did his understanding of mechanical and alchemical principles. Then one day he witnessed the power of the Iron Legions creations in battle. From that moment on he dedicated his life to creating mechanisms and chemicals that would aid him and his allies in the war against the dragons. Rin is very logical and often lacks emotion, which puts many of those he meets on edge. He dislikes that others rely on magic and believes all the races of Tyria can get through life using intellect and ingenuity. He believes that those who rely on magic do so because they have no inner ability themselves, and tends to let them know as much. Though he is very blunt about things, he does get very enthusiastic about solving problems with his gadgets and will often share his ideas for new inventions with others, even if they are not listening. Due to the death of his master, at the hands of the destroyers, his determination to build new and better inventions is rivaled only by his drive to destroy the elder dragons.

- Personality and Background - Feeling more at home with the animals than her fellow humans, Rin spends most of her time in the hills, mountains and forests. She has never liked conversing with 'civilized' people and much more prefers the company of her tamed animals. This does not stop her helping people however. Though she may feel she has nothing in common with them, she feels it is the honorable thing to do. Her father was a great hunter who helped many souls in danger, from Asura and Charr to Moa and Quaggan. Since her fathers passing, at her own hands after he became an ice brood while helping the Norn, she swore an oath to carry on his good work in his honor. She is a strong and focused young woman, and will happily put herself in danger to help those in need. Though woe betide anyone who wishes to bring harm to animals without a good reason. If someone was being attacked by a tiger, that they themselves had provoked, Rin would leave the tiger to it. However, if that person was minding their own business when the beast attacked, then she would come to their aid and if possible try to scare the creature away or kill it if there was no other course. She is a serious and intelligent huntress, with few friends (other than her animals) and fewer enemies (due to them all being defeated).
