Gender : Male
Story : A mesmer's mask creates an image. I choose to look out from behind a Harlequin's Smile. It takes bravery to face one's fears and seize your victories, so I never let them see me without a smile. People might call me charming or diplomatic. Regardless, no one can resist me when I'm at my best I know just what the say to lighten the mood or bolster courage.
Human : I grew up among the nobles, including my friend Lord Faren, who can trace their ancestry back to ancient kings. I received an excellent education, am well versed in courtly graces, and understand the responsibility that comes with privilege. My high class does not bias me however, as I see all men as equal. When I was an infant, I was abandoned at an orphanage. A kind couple adopted me and became my family. However, I've always wondered about my real parents. The statue of Lyssa in the city pierces my soul and speaks to my mind. She is the dual-faced goddess of beauty, water and illusion. She is the patron of the most attractive and graceful among us. Her blessings have touched me all my life, and have modeled me into who I have become.
Sylvari : I once Dreamed of a quest that called me to action... I remember a stag, glowing bright deep in the dark forest. It was a creature of enchantment, an immortal beast with great power. It is said that the stag will trade a magical boon for its freedom, if I can catch it. I am a steadfast follower of Ventari's teachings, and I believe that it is one thing to know what is right and another to change the world. We all have a calling. I will distinguish myself through my actions and thereby lift Tyria to a higher state of nobility. I awoke at dawn. They call me a natural talker, diplomat, and forward-thinker. I am intimately connected with my surroundings and markedly empathic toward all, even other races.

Story : I try to avoid being seen as a scoundrel; sometimes my aggression gets the best of me. They call me captivating. I do whatever it takes to get what I want, by means of seduction or pure captivation and distraction. I am sly and secretive, but I will make myself known. Although you will know my name, rarely you will meet me or even see me. I prefer a subtle subterfuge. A drawn hood lets me blend into the crowd, and no one knows I was there. My cunning will always manage to get the best of you. It takes guile to outwit an enemy with style. Mental prowess keeps me one step ahead at all times, especially planning an encounter with my equally intelligent rival, who managed to defeat me not too long ago. Since then I have been promised protection from Raven. Clever and wise, he will guide me with truth that others fear. He bestows a far-seeing clarity of mind. In my visions he spoke of riddles and opened my eyes to secrets that few others can see.
