Crafting Recipes[edit]
Insignia recipes are common to all three armor-crafting disciplines.
At each crafting tier there are three levels of insignia -- standard, Embroidered and Intricate -- except for the final tier, where only Intricate insignia can be crafted. Recipes for standard and Embroidered insignia are learned automatically; Intricate recipes must be purchased. Higher-level insignia result in higher-rarity armor pieces; although similar insignia are of similar rarity across the crafting tiers, the rarity of the produced armor pieces gradually increases as the crafting tier increases.
Aside from the final tier, the recipes for each crafting tier's insignia are the same except for the tier of materials required. Each requires a certain number of tier-appropriate Bolts of Cloth and Spools of Thread, and also a number of tier-appropriate fine crafting materials. In later tiers, Karka Shells can be substituted for the fine crafting materials. In the final tier, the numbers of each material required are different, and Globs of Ectoplasm are also required.
Insignia Level | Rarity | Bolts of Cloth | Spools of Thread | Fine Materials | OR | Karka Shells | Globs of Ectoplasm |
Standard | Fine | 1 | 0 | 3 | 5 | 0 | |
Embroidered | Masterwork | 1 | 5 | 8 | 10 | 0
Intricate | Rare | 2 | 10 | 15 | 20 | 0
Gossamer (Intricate) | Exotic | 5 | 20 | 5 | 30 | 5 |
Each fine crafting material bestows a different prefix on the resulting Insignia, which is in turn transferred to the final crafted item, affecting its stat boosts.
