Hai hai :) I will probably get this game; i know it will be good. I've played the alto sax since i taught myself in 6th grade (10th grade now) and I'm pretty good, relatively. A conjecture

Based on info i've seen whirling around, and gameplay vids i have been watching..what we have here is a Charr gunslinger, a Norn scholar-profession (mesmer comeback?), and an Asuran assassin. The assassin may be a sylvari, as we have no sylvari in the reveal images so far, but imo it looks very asuran. The dervish's role has been absorbed by the humans (god-based), and there are no longer scythes. Paragons were absorbed largely by warriors and guardians, but also by the Warhorn weapon in general. Ritualists were partially absorbed by guardians (spirit weapon), and imo, spirits will not be practical in a persistent mmo. Turrets, however, may be. The mesmer may be largely modified due to changes to the energy system (potions), but I feel it would make sense if they return. Assassins are pretty obviously coming back. And the gunslinger? well, we have pistols, and no professions currently using them.. So, just my thoughts. NALANA 00:15, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Dark Tower references in gw1=evidence of gw2 gunslinger prof? O_o I am not entirely sure what to think of the 2 unrevealed professions right now. The Thief uses the dual pistols and burst-firing abilities i imagined a gunslinger having. Potential I see in there still being a gunslinger is extensive use of the rifle to deal slow firing, high yield damage, and maybe faster interrupt abilities, along with the possibility of a turret mechanism (to replace ritualists). But it also seems likely that Mesmers may absorb the ritualist's role by having 'illusory constructs' akin to spirits. Tbh, the last profession could be utterly new and surprise us, but it seems likely that one of the 2 will have an affinity for rifles and maybe pistols, too. NALANA 23:18, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
