An ancient, leather-bound book lies before you. The unadorned tome, as if powered by some ethereal force, opens as you approach it. The title page simply reads: A History of a Mortal: The Guild Wars and Beyond
Day 146, Season of the Phoenix, Year 1079 AE[edit]
Set up a journal of sorts. Standard blog usage shall ensue. I need to keep myself motivated to try for GWAMM, but I really don't have the patience. 200+ vanqs of the Morostov Trail to get the Kurzick title. May get a million or so gold from that, if I'm lucky. Then need the rest of the money. Eesh. In GW2, I'm going to start farming as soon as I can, I think. Looking good is expensive! If I'm lucky, my friend Magus will give me his leftover cash when he's done with his titles. No, I am not ashamed of mooching :)
My desires for Guild Wars 2 make a fairly short list. Other than be even more awesome than the original game, my biggest concern is BETTER PATHING. Nothing gets me more frustrated than getting tripped up on invisible walls. So annoying. Also, lots of shiny things to wear! I like eye-candy, and armor is no exception. And finally, lots of plants to add to my Plant Database! It will give me more to do in the game, and hopefully get me a little fame on the side as well!
Day 152, Season of the Phoenix, Year 1079 AE[edit]
Ok, really? This is why I hate titles. I am now rank 10 of 12 in the Kurzick track, but only halfway there points wise. ARGH! DAMN YOU ALL! This faction grind is ridiculous, but somehow I'm still quite addicted to them, and my dream of being a God Walking. So I'll get my Kurzick in a month or two or three or... and that should give me near the amount of money I need for sweet tooth. The party mod is done. You all should come!
Day 164, Season of the Phoenix, Year 1079 AE[edit]
My guild is having its 9th birthday celebration August 26th. There are many things in the works, but we would like it to be a public party. We chose Hero Battles to hold it, because there is a lot of space, anyone can visit, and people can't spam the party with tonics. I took it upon myself to mod the place using Texmod, and have been doing so for the past couple days. I first used my armor to get used to it (See before and after image here), and am redoing as much of the town as i can without it looking to overdone or flashy. It has its silly parts, such as happy faces floating down the river, but we are trying to make it role-playable, so it's can't be too crazy. It's going to take a lot more work, but it should end up looking pretty sweet!
Day 232, Season of the Scion, Year 1079 AE[edit]
Ok, trailer impression time. Here we go, in bulletted list form.
- Graphically similar to Guild Wars, just more polished and fancy.
- Char are absolutely badass.
- The new asura look is less deadly, more... pudgy.
- Want to play human druid!
- Guns?
- Lots of places to explore.
- WANT NOW!
Day 309, Season of the Colossus, Year 1079 AE[edit]
Ok, so I said I wouldn't farm the stupid amount of gold to get GWAMM. I had been spending my money on sweet tooth, but luckily my friend donated enough sweets to max the sugar title! Now, I have about 300k on me, and even if I can buy party and booze at 100g/point, I still need to raise at least 1.6 milion. Hmm. Don't have the patince to farm it. Maybe, we'll see. Need to work out what I can get from finishing Kurzick. Should develop a monk to do the DTSC, but I'm lazy and I get a decent amount of money from doing Morostav Trail on my own, haha. I have a perma sin, but the endless runs I need of any farm to get money is, well, discouraging. I don't know how people do it.
Wintersday wish: moar info!
Day 357, Season of the Colossus, Year 1079 AE[edit]
Well, my Wintersday wish kinda came true. "The Races of Tyria" was very interesting, and gave me a good look into what the races are going through/look like. I'm still leaning toward a human for a main, probably a human healer, but I still need to see what the professions are going to be. Charr still look badass; even more so than the concept art. The gameplay was pretty rough, but still looks fairly GW-ish, even if the Sylvari was dual wielding swords. And holding them backwards like Tengu.
By the way, I absolutely love my guild. Me and a couple people worked out a deal with the Snowball Dominance quest, and the rediculous rewards gained from it. I get all the party points, one gets all the sweets, and the other gets all the booze. I am totally making out on this. I think i may be able to just about finish party animal with this. This grinding is fun, so I'm cool with it. The quest is so addicting and awesome! Well, my next update will hopefully be me dancing in elation over getting GWAMM and a professions trailer. May Melandru guide you feet safely to their destination.
Day 160, Season of the Phoenix, Year 1080 AE[edit]
Been a while, yes. But not much to post about until the previous few months. You all know what's going on, and how awesome the recent reveals are (Warrior, Elementalist, Personal Storyline, Traits). Very nice, very flash, although the warrior seems almost TOO flashy. That, or those are some shiney weapons they're swining around. Also, the warrior's 'close the gap' skills will make front, mid, back-lining less clear and more fluid. On the note of skills, I hope ranger skills are as fun to watch as the artillery-esq Arching Shot the warriors have. The game information is starting to flesh out a bit. I like that traits let you customize your build where they made the skill selection more rigid. We'll have to see what comes out in the coming months.
Day 3, Season of the Zephyr, Year 1081 AE[edit]
Happy new year! The lull of information should be coming to an end, with the promised profession reveal sometime this month. Still waiting on the Mesmer variant, but we shall see. I am not an alt-aholic, so I am on the edge of my seat to see which profession will be assigned to my main character. All of them have interesting 'hooks' so far, but none have really grabbed me. No, not even the ranger! *gasp*
The guild has gone through some shaky times in the past few months. Many people have left, some I will miss, others not. However, with the most recent earthquakes over, we can finally get things rolling again. New role-playing members have joined, and the overarcing guild plotline has been discussed, revamped, and initiated. We have begun the end game of the Guild Wars story. The officers know how we are going to end the Knight's affairs in Guild Wars, and move it into Guild Wars 2. Others believe it can not be done, but I still have faith that the Forever Knights will persist as strong as we had before.
