This guide aims at compiling useful information that aid in the maintaining of all wiki-related Gem Store pages, including the Gem Store Watch overview page.

Basic Tips

• Check the in-game store on a daily basis, particularly after 16:00. Many offers are often removed on short notice and without prior announcement.
  • Make sure you keep track of BLTC blog articles and patch notes. These contain useful information on which items were or will be added and/or removed.
• Take screenshots of the Gem Store interface as reference material of new items or items with availability timers ticking down. It is also easier to document off of screenshots.
• When adding or removing items from the store pages, give an edit summary of what was added or moved. This helps and saves time when using the page search tool in combination with the edit history.
• Gem Store posts on reddit should be used sparingly as reference as they are often incomplete.
• Occasionally check the Gem Store pages for items that might have been overlooked instead of removed as scheduled.
• If you feel like beating the clock or freeing up some time for new additions to the store, try to prepare the Gem Store pages up to half an hour in advance by keeping several tabs open to be able to queue multiple edits at 16:00 sharp and get rid faster of items leaving the store.
• Remember to check whether returning items might have become giftable and add its category to the item pages.
• Similarly make sure you update the sale pages (under Gem Store#Special sales). Only add Halloween-related items to the Halloween sales list and Wintersday items to the Wintersday one and so forth.

Bundles

• Since the icons used for the store interface aren't stored in the .dat, we have to make do with icons based on screenshots for these bundles. Make sure you use one that is highlighted black (hover over the item in question) and fix the upper left-hand corner if necessary (by smudging or cloning). Use the screenshot licensing option.

Gem Store Pages

• Generally, the respective sections are sorted alphabetically. A few exceptions are sorted by groups (the items within are still sorted according to the alphabet), like the Style's section common armour skins. Head items are succeeded by gloves, shoes, and shoulder items. The sorting happens according to how the items appear in the respective tabs of the in-game interface.
