Being an asura, my ranger has no time for sentimental frivolities such as naming her pets. Instead, her specimens are classified according to a logical taxonomical system for ease of reference.

I've taken inspiration from binomial nomenclature, which takes the form [genus name] [species name]. (These names are typically pretentious Latin or ancient Greek, though there's no requirement for them to be perfectly linguistically accurate.) This approach largely reflects the way pets are classified in-game, though I've consolidated a few families that only had a single member species. I've also tried to keep names similar to the scientific classifications of their real-life counterparts, where applicable.
