Delete?[edit]
This provides a link between all of the monthly events so people can see which events happened when. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.69.150.60 (talk • contribs) at 18:18, 2 November 2012 (UTC).
- Yeah...let's give the author a chance before deleting things. The delete flag was added 9 minutes after the page was created. — Burfo 18:37, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- "Monthly events" isn't an official term, is it? It's presumptuous to assume that there will be a content update every month, not to mention that "event" has a very specific meaning in GW2 already. If it's kept it should be called something like "Content updates", and we should have such a page in either case, detailing such updates. Manifold 18:43, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- "Monthly events" is a bad name, agreed. No guarantee that they'll be monthly, and they are not single events. —Dr Ishmael 19:00, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- I think this is useful in the very same way other navboxes are – to provide quick access to pages on a similar topic; it certainly isn't any less useful than the trailer nav, and GWW uses similar templates for Beyond and special events. It might not be the biggest navbox so far, but I'd say it's fairly safe to assume it will only grow from now on. What I would change, though, is the name and header; I'd go with Game releases, which is what the official site uses. 19:03, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Except it's historic content that has no relation except being content updates, hardly seems useful for a navbox.--Relyk 19:30, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

- Point taken regarding the name---I updated it to Game Releases as suggested. I find looking at the historical information useful especially with regards to looking up recipes from an event. --Naptown14 20:07, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
These are content updates. Game releases (to me) a new version of the game, like GW3 or an expansion pack. But regardless, I'm also in the camp that this is hardly useful. If you're looking up recipes for an old event... why would you navigate to the latest event? Why not go straight to pages like Chef or Category:Halloween recipes? The way you're organising by year and month, it'll become bulky and unwieldly in the long run. -- ab.er.rant 12:53, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Misleading labeling for EoD releases[edit]
With the addition of the gyala delve releases, they appear on the same line as the normal EoD release, which is a bit confusing imo as they were not released at the same time but rather after EoD launched. Even if it is still part of the "EoD story cycle" I think it's important to at least make that distinction clearer. -ItVictor (talk) 01:48, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
