Tar Shield is an effect found on Champion Hierarch Alu and Commander Lonai that prevents enemies from reaching them.
It is also used by the Champion Mordant Crescent Hierarch in the Griffon-Mount acquisition story instance, Spearmarshal's Lament, protecting him from all damage. It can only be removed by mounting a Griffon and using the Swoop skill on him.
