Those imps[edit]
This place is filled with shadow imps and oozes. But those veteran imps are the real ones to watch out for, they seem a bit harder than normal veterans. Good jumping puzzle, though. 173.32.57.176 18:08, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yep, just did this today. One thing the veteran imps do that make them tougher than usual is create altars that give them immunity until the altar is destroyed or expires. Kinda wish there had been an achievement for Windy Cave because it was tough. Chest was unkind to me. Invulnerable Veteran Imps[edit]
I just tried twice to make my way through, and the Veteran Shadow Imps were completely invulnerable both times even when I was standing right next to them. Of course, it meant certain death for me. This must be a bug, right? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ocelost (talk • contribs).
- You really need to pay more attention to the game itself and the previous posts. The imp creates a destroyable altar near itself when attacked and it has to be broken to drop his invulnerability. The altar looks much like a grawl totem. Puk 08:45, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Invulnerability could also be due to attacking mobs from unreachable location, which can occur in Windy Cave. I don't remember the mobs there using the altars, but I suppose it's possible, since it's been a long time I visited there. Mediggo 13:25, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Hard[edit]
Holy smokes this is hard. I managed to do it after much consternation with one random other guy. I think the hardest is the Transclucent oozes that blow you off ledges. It might be easier to skip those guys (which is what we did). So rewarding to finish it though, not necessarily the chest even, just the feeling of completing it. My 80 warrior just ran past everything. Last fight (to get chest) might be hard for people who cannot solo veterans.
