About Warden's Folly Vista

The walkthrough added says the "area of branches is very dark" and suggest using AoEs to highlight it. Actually, the area doesn't seem dark at all. I just did it and I could see the branch very clearly and I don't have any type of shader or such. Should it be changed somehow? Or maybe it depends on the day/night cycle?
