Talk:Vital Striking

Has anyone tested this? I did some testing during the Stress Test event, but didn't do enough testing on the Medium Golems (in the Mists) to get a conclusive result.
However, vs Heavy Golems I got credible results. With both crit and non-crit hits, the average damage with Vital Striking equipped was 10.1% higher. The few tests I did on Medium Golems gave an improvement of 11.4% (non-crit) and 19.7% (crit), though these results can not be trusted. - Unknown writer
- Compared to the boosts given by other traits, I'd say that sounds about right. On a side note, I've noticed that 1 stck of might (35 power) equalled about 2% damage for my staff elementalist. That would mean that Vital Striking gives the same dps increase as roughly 175 Power. Provided you can remain within the damage window, that's actually quite a substantial amount (and would help support eles catch up with fire eles). 80.112.181.245 21:24, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
90% to whom ?[edit]
Is that when your target is above 90% or when your own health is above 90% ?
