Talk:Virtue of Justice
Bugged ?[edit]
I spend the whole day figuring this out and came to the conclusion that %increasing burn duration does NOT work on this virtue for some reason?. Also, Supreme Justice does not increase the regular burn, instead it increases the active burn effect by a small ammount. Did anyone else notice these "bugs" ??--DIVA 10:08, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- I just realized, Supreme Justice is not supposed to increase the passive trigger druation, the other bug still remains.--DIVA 10:19, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Burning, Poison, and Bleed only trigger damage once per full second of duration. Therefore, increasing their duration by a fraction of a second provides no benefit unless they stack duration with another fractional second and the fractions add up to a whole second. For example, if you burn an enemy for 1.5 seconds, he'll only be damaged once, but if you and I both burn the same enemy for 1.5 seconds at the same time, the durations stack to 3 seconds and he'll be damaged three times. (See Condition Duration and Damage#Condition Damage.)
- So if the passive from Virtue of Justice is your only source of burning, increased Condition Duration isn't going to help you (unless you can get it up to +100% or more). However, if you stack other sources of burning (e.g. Zealot's Flame) so that you can trigger Virtue of Courage multiple times without the burn ever ending, the fractions can add up. --Felbryn 00:44, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Damage[edit]
If I use the active effect Virtue of Justice, then my ally attacks a foe and they start burning as a result of my virtue, is the burning damage based on my Condition Damage or my ally's Condition Damage? --Felbryn 21:54, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- they did the burn so thier stats are worked on that, you gave them a "buff" of justice so anything relating to that still applies for them however (like traits). or if in down, just go check yourself and edit the wiki =p. 67.233.98.18 00:49, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
Update on AOE functionality[edit]
Justice no longer counts hits against multiple foes as one hit, tested Jul 28 2015. Using a Rabid/Balthazar set with Virtues (X/top/top) and all other traits unassigned, Whirling Wrath used in the middle of the mob of target golems in Heart of the Mists generates ~14 stacks of burning on a single golem, even though there are no sources of Burning besides Justice and Whirling Wrath should (under the previous behavior) only generate 14/3 = 4-5 stacks of burning. As well, Symbol of Wrath manages to apply 1-2 stacks of Burning per tick on a single target within that mob, for which Symbolic Power is not sufficient to explain. Normal Justice also works this way: in the same test with Virtues traits unassigned, the greatsword autoattack advances Justice by more than one strike, causing Burning on one target on ~one out of three strikes. I will update the main page to reflect this. 23.91.149.147 03:12, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
