Talk:Urban Battleground Fractal
City of ascalon?[edit]
In the article it says it's the fall of the city of Ascalon, which i find very unlikely. The ground shows no signs of this being after the searing of which the effects can even be partially seen now in GW2. So this is before the searing. I think this is the city of Surmia, which was located north of the wall. North of the wall was conquered before the searing, also the building from which the boss approaches could be the building the players of Guild Wars 1 find the mouthpiece of the horn Stormcaller. - Completely neglecting any lore, I see it as an HD version of the scene we see in the Prophecies introduction and pre-searing Ascalon, and what (could have) happened after. IMO this is Ascalon on the day of the Searing. --zeeZ (talk) 18:36, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- For me it's more like day of Foefire as you can already see some Searing like ruins in this map. --83.23.98.243 23:03, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
Sorrow's Furnace[edit]
I'm going to cast my vote that this is Sorrow's Furnace. Just saying. -Jyavoc 02:56, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- Omg, I'm an absolute idiot and posted this to the wrong article. Please, disregard this and anything else out of my mouth-keyboard. --Jyavoc 03:05, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Khylo[edit]
Seems this was announced at some point, but I don't see a reference to verify it beyond this point. SarielV 19:04, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
- Much more likely referring to Battle of Kyhlo, the fractals were not likely conceptualized years ago, but that was the first sPvP map announced. Manifold 19:49, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
Burning Oil does not respawn[edit]
Contrary to the guide, the burning oil pots on the top do not respawn if Dulfy is still alive. She can only repair the siege weapons. You should take out the oil first and then kill Dulfy, so you can melee her if you want. Qiff 23:27, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
the location of urban battle ground fractal in gw1[edit]
a lot of people say its ascalon but I have worked this out and im certain of the location, although im not sure what this area would have been called in gw1. we only know it as the breach. gw1 location Spark 02:42, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
