I didn't see anything wrong with GW1 trading from person to person, why did they remove this option in gw2? in fact this may be a very nice feature since we are in open world now, it would be nice if we run into someone that has a item wed like and be able to instantly do a transaction during chat
- The main reason they disabled person to person trading is due to the scamming that was happening. Although this didn't happen all that often, there was no way that Anet could reverse any bad deals, aside from doing a revert, which would have effected every player. Besides, you can use cons to get to the Trader whilst outside the main cities :D Klefer 16:42, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
Take away player to player trading to avoid scamming and exploits --> Scam and exploit through mail trading. ?? 74.139.10.126 08:22, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- If I want to trade with someone I know, but don't quite trust, how would I go about doing this? Is mailing them the item and just hoping they don't fuck me my only option?-- Amantis - 22:37, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- Eeyup. That's why Anet added the Trading Post to GW2 - so you can still buy/sell stuff without having to do it directly with people you don't completely trust. —Dr Ishmael 23:45, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah but what if I want to trade with someone. Like a guildie? Or I want my item to go to a specific person not open season for everyone(for instance they won an auction). Or specifically an item for an item. Or maybe trading something for not the exact value that I'll get with the TP?
