Historical[edit]
As it appears this form of pvp's only map is no longer playable(as indicated on the Courtyard map page), can this be marked as historical and removed from the Template:Pvp nav? I'm not that knowledgeable of pvp so I want to make sure before I do anything. - Doodleplex 22:53, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
- No, because your statement is 100% incorrect. Courtyard is not historical, so neither is the map type. —Mora 22:57, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
- I think the issue is courtyard is not in the ranked rotation (maybe unranked?) but can be selected in custom arenas (I think). Regardless it might be worth putting in a note saying that it is only playable on certain game types (just like skyhammer and that spirit/orb one). -Darqam (talk) 23:03, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
- As far as I know when Anet employee says "removed from play" it's historical, that's what I got from reading the forum post, hence why I said historical. I'll ask somebody who actually pvps to confirm if it's completely removed or if it's just for custom maps. But if the latter is the case it should be noted it's for custom only play at least. - Doodleplex 23:18, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
- I asked a pvp specialist. He said, that the code for the map's icon is still in the game, but the map itself is not accessible or playable. So for now I guess it's historical until Anet decides to(if they do) bring it back, unless Mora you know something I don't that says it's not historical. - Doodleplex 00:51, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
- Courtyard states that it was removed from the roulette, which is only used for Unranked and Ranked. Explain what part of this is not accessible or playable, or how you or your "pvp specialist" came to that conclusion. —Mora 03:36, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- Since the edit you made was only undoing the comment, I went in and replaced it with, what seems to be correct. Even though the game-mode can still be played in custom, it cannot be played in ranked and unranked; and that should be documented instead of just wiped off the page. -Darqam (talk) 03:57, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
