A paragraph explaining "area poison attack" would be useful. Specifically, does it automatically poison all foes (up to 5 foes?) within the area of effect? Or does it cause a separate attack that can poison? Does it create a poison combo field for 2 seconds? --173.33.138.144 13:31, 2 September 2015 (UTC) What is the duration of the poison? (Is that what the 2 seconds applies to, or is an attack for 2 seconds and a duration of ???) I think an explanatory paragraph with this information would be useful to wiki users.
Usefulness[edit]
The duration of the poison and poison field is so little that one could hardly believe they added this to the game; the poison duration doesn't add damage and the poison combo can't be combined with anything. If they are worried about balance they should just modify it to be better for PvE.

Research as a Necro[edit]
On impact drops a 2 second poison field that will poison anything inside it, limit may be 10, I personally managed 6. With 100% poison duration increase ticks 4 times. Poison field can be combined with Putrid Explosion (explode a bone minion) or Putrid Mark (staff 4)to produce area weakness.
With a max duration of 4 seconds and a cooldown of 8, 50% uptime puts it on par with Torment; potentially stronger for large groups of mobs or other players dancing in the poison field with whirls or blasts.
