Defrosted[edit]

I know I've seen people talk about it, but do we have a source that says the Steamspurs aren't icy? ----hexalMy 16:42, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I don't recall hearing anything about that. --User Phnzdvn sig.pnghnzdvn 16:48, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
The article doesn't even use the word steam, so I'm going to remove it now. EiveTalk 17:10, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
We know that "parts" of the Shiverpeaks are defrosted (but that Drakkar Lake isn't one of those areas), and since with the map retcon in GW:EN the Southern Shiverpeaks (well, this part of them) went from totally icy to mostly icy (Sparkfly Swamp), I'd say this place is the place that had defrosted. There's also the obvious thing to point out that the Shiverpeaks are generally unlikely to be a "defrosted" region, whereas the Steamspur Mountains...you get the picture. --Santax (talk · contribs) 18:07, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
"We know that "parts" of the Shiverpeaks are defrosted" A source for this is what I'm looking for. "Sparkfly swamp was frozen" No, it was always green. [1]. Personally, I won't be suprised if it turns out they're plain unfrozen mountain, but there's nothing to state it as a conclusive fact. --hexalMy 18:30, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Here :) --Santax (talk · contribs) 18:45, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh, okey dokey. Well we still don't know which parts exactly, probably this but we don't know, so I'd hold off on writing it as fact. --hexalMy 18:55, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) For all we know, this is just a sub-region within the Shiverpeaks - like the Far/Northern/Southern Shiverpeaks. It's also speculation this is dredge territory, so I removed that. -- Konig/talk 20:42, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

I think we can almost say for certain that a part of the Steamspur Mountains is not icy. See GW dynamic events panel image of Alpine Timberland over at massively. Probably a tundra area. ge4ce 18:57, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
since we wont have access to the crystal desert, will this be our way into orr? Getefix 20:20, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
Possible. Or from the Tarnished Coast across the strait. Or both. Either way, we're crossing water. Konig/talk 21:29, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
