Dragon Skull

I was swimming around in southsun, untill I saw something very interesting. There is a skull, most likely of a dragon, SW of Southsun Strait, does anyone recognize it? Frontal picture and Profile Picture --Landon144 11:25, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Those are seen throughout the game - many can be found in Straits of Devastation, and all can be found in or near water unless they were transported. A Durmand Priory scholar thinks it may be tied to the last rise of the Elder Dragons. Players think they're leviathan skeletons. Konig/talk 20:13, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Kiel's Outpost Waypoint

It doesn't exist for me. I just look at its location on this article's map, I just don't have this supposedly Waypoint. Was it removed for some reason ? Bug ?...

Very difficult; is this a "Hard Mode" map?

This level 80 map is far more difficult than Cursed Shore. Is it intended to be the equivalent of a Guild Wars "Hard Mode" map? Wraitheria 21:02, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

I believe so. I think it's not intended for solo'ing, just as much of Orr is rather hard for solo'ing, but moreso given the difficulty and health bars of the karka. Konig/talk 21:49, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

It is not really harder than Cursed Shore, Just different. Examples being the Veteran Karka do seem to have a larger aggro range and have a shell you have to break first. And the Veteran Reef Riders steal your boons (regular can too but they do it far less often). Both maps you can be crippled, and actually I kinda prefer Southsun as you don't have Risen pulling you back and forth, the karka skill that shoots at you can be dodged with good timing, and even if hit and you get crippled, you can still get away.75.252.155.117 00:20, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

This zone is certainly harder than Orr, especially after the January 2013 Patch. It is more than just different, the enemies all have much higher health pools and do much more damage. Even some of the non-group events are very tough to solo, augmented by the large aggro radius and general difficulty of the Veteran Karka which are quite common.

Part of Kryta

Since it counts towards the various Kryta daily achievements and drops Krytan weapons it should be added to the Kryta region pages, sections, etc. similarly to the Steamspur zones coupled with Maguuma. Sounds Risky | 18:02, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

This is a lil bit problematic, for the daily achievements and drops it counts as Kryta, but it isn't needed for the Krytan exploration title. This might turn out to be confusing to people. I have allready updated kryta with a note and propose we leave it as it is now (region indicator kryta, note why on this page, and note on kryta page as a warning). If I see people getting confused here or on the forum I will see if it can use some further clarifications.195.240.63.18 15:29, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

After the June 11

I think this page is becoming a mess. We had two large scale living stories here (though the first one was named different). making especially the events section very confusing. I would suggest to use this page to record the way southsun is after jun 11, and move the events from the The Lost Shores to that page (currently it is only redirecting to the event page itself for the entire chain) and the events from The Secret of Southsun, leaving this page to be reflecting to show the current state of this map. off course with notes the players are redirected to the historical data and events.195.240.63.18 15:35, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
