Talk:Skyscale Trainer Dyanne
Skyscale items[edit]
So this was brought up on discord already, but the new way to Skyscale includes items with reversed icons and different descriptions, but same names as many already existing skyscale items (for example, the ones listed on this page). I think it would be cool if we could have them on a single page, like Skyscale of Fear (item), and use the variant table to note the differences so that people don't have to navigate through many different pages. Not sure how it would interact with the collections and collection navs, however, but I thimk it would be better than have 3 or more different pages. ~Sime 12:18, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
Sept 12 patch and new mail from Dyanne[edit]
As part of today's patch I received new mail from Dyanne asking to come see her, however when I talk to her there's no new prompt. Anyone else knows what this is about? My current progress is: owned skyscale before SotO, finished "A New Friend" and started but not finished "A New Look". When I talk to her, I only get the prompts for A New Look. Wondering if this is a bug and it's old mail, or there's something new and it's not showing up.

Sexist and Inappropriate Trivia[edit]
The trivia "Dyanne was modeled after ArenaNet employee Matthew Medina's wife [2]" is sexist and inappropriate and has been removed.
If you want to credit someone, credit the person, not the person's husband.
Give a real person a name.
If they don't want to be named, avoid the trivia.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pavarosa (talk).
- As far as we know, the wife in question doesn't work for ArenaNet and therefore we do not have her name as that's personal information irrelevant to the game, thus it makes sense to identify her via her husband who is a prominent Anet employee. Nothing sexist here. ~Sime 23:33, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with what Sime said. Matthew has chosen to keep his spouse's name private which is perfectly fine, so that fact should be respected. Perhaps it could be reworded to "lovingly modeled" as it does seem like a really sweet thing he wanted to do for her. - Doodleplex 02:18, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
