Talk:Sigil of Accuracy
They stack if you have one in main hand and second in off hand? Anyone know? 188.127.24.156 19:13, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
I don't see my crit chance increase at all on my hero page when I equip 1 or more of these. I haven't bothered to do time tests to see whether or not my actual crit chance has increased. Anyone know if these sigils work or not?
Tested as working with 2H weapon[edit]
I did some quick testing of this in the Mists with a naked, traitless Warrior with a Steady Rifle. Base crit chance, according to character panel, was 4%. Applied a Superior Sigil of Accuracy for +5% crit bonus to the rifle and killed a Heavy Target Golem 4 times. Results: 22 critical hits out of 210 total hits, for an approximate crit rate of 10.4%. A little higher than the expected 9%, but probably just due to some lucky streaks and small sample size. It appears safe to say this sigil works, at least on a mainhand weapon. I haven't had a chance to confirm whether it works if placed on an offhand while attacking with a mainhand. cc 07:25, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Limited on weapons[edit]
Could it be, that the increased chance is limited to weaponskills? This would fit to the "on-critical-hit"-effect-sigil, which also have only effect on weaponskills (if i understood right) and would also give a reason to not show it in the heropanel --77.23.12.236 13:14, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Check my Math[edit]
Assuming you have a Critical Damage Multiplier of 172% or higher you actually do better damage with a Superior Sigil of Accuracy than you would do with a Superior Sigil of Force. (Assuming other factors do not push your Crit Chance over 100%.) If you have a +7% crit chance then your average damage should increase by ([Critical Damage]-100)*0.07
The math ignores the unmodified crit chance as it is identical for both options. Only the +7% crit difference is compared to the +5% damage.
[Damage]+[Damage]*.72*.07 = [Damage]*1.0504 (Superior Sigil of Accuracy)
[Damage]*1.05 = [Damage]*1.05 (Superior Sigil of Force)
