Known Info[edit]

Currently little is known about the Shark Fin. Here's what has been established:

  • It is not accepted in the Mystic Forge. --khani.4786 in "Shark Fin" topic on Guild Wars 2 forums, confirmed by TerrorBite (talk) 03:43, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
  • It does not appear in the Discovery pane for the Chef discipline. --Tested by TerrorBite (talk) 03:43, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
  • The Precursor crafting merchant in Lion's Arch sells a recipe for Sharkfin Soup, which is used for the Moot collection. This hasn't been checked but it's highly likely that this recipe requires the Shark Fin as an ingredient. --Yojimaru.4980 in "Shark Fin" topic on Guild Wars 2 forums

The recipe exists, but you cannot craft it anymore because Shark Fins do not seem to drop anymore. It was also removed as an requirement for the collection. Probably an oversight to not remove the recipe.
