Talk:Shaemoor Cemetery
"Area"[edit]
This is an amazing resource, and is REALLY well put together from the quick look I've given it; but because "area" already means something on the wiki, we can't call this an "area" so much as, say, "landmark" (which was what was used on GWW). Aaand, I haven't seen the proper formatting for a landmark on GW2W yet, so I don't want to touch this one alone. —Jyavoc 01:17, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- Proper formatting for landmarks is no different than points of interest. You just change the | type = parameter to Landmark. Konig/talk 05:06, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Merging of this page or some other solution?[edit]
Working on Category:Gravestones... This page seems to be the correct page for this area. I would like to merge this with Gravestone (Village of Shaemoor). This pages title is a much simpler concept than that other page title. I guess my biggest issue with this is that other pages should then be renamed. I think the cemeteries themselves should be using the "area" userbox rather than the "object" one. My suggested change:
- "Gravestone (Ascalon Settlement)" becomes "Ascalon Settlement Cemetery"
So maybe this page should also be re-named to "Village of Shaemoor Cemetery"
List of pages effected:
- Gravestone (Ascalon Settlement)
- Gravestone (Bonerattler Caverns)
- Gravestone (Stronghold of Ebonhawke)
- Gravestone (Village of Shaemoor) (This page may be deleted)
- Tombstone (Divinity's Reach)
- Tombstone (Grendich Ruins)
I was trying to organize this section of the wiki and I was using the above pages to describe the cemetery itself using one image, then listing the gravestones as object pages with one shared image for each cemetery. One page I am done with is Gravestone (Stronghold of Ebonhawke). Since I am working in this area I can change the userboxes for these pages if this change is approved. - Worked on this page some. Now there is an image that may also may need renaming. Can I also make Category:Shaemoor Gravestones? Not sure how or if I can do that. Yoe Dude 09:36, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- I found a "sign" in game calling this area Shaemoor Cemetery so this page is named correctly. Also figured out how to make a category. Yoe Dude 00:22, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Issue with your edits is that you're trying to turn objects into locations (it's gravestone not graveyard), and you're further dividing them into articles named after non-existing objects (there's a reason why we have the article at Minister Caudecus and not Legate Minister Caudecus Beetlestone - for example). All the pages you've been making based after each individual gravestone was designed after a false formatting that I've been meaning to correct (oh sloth, how you haunt me now!). So no, no moving. - Rather than tagging all the (imo, terribly wrongly made) articles you made - which would expand the list of candidates for deletion well over a hundred if not two, I suppose I should ask why you thought to name the objects titled "Gavestone" after the person buried? White Fog[edit]
It seems the white fog disappears when the White Lady is killed.
