Talk:Shadow Refuge
Why isn't this a heal skill? Even the blue color of the icon suggests a heal skill. Lightblade 06:15, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- "Why isn't this a heal skill?"
- I quote the description: Create a pulsing refuge at the target area that heals allies and cloaks them in Stealth.
- "Even the blue color of the icon suggests a heal skill."
- No it doesn't. Blue icons can suggest a hammer to the face as well. A F K When Needed 06:43, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- If you mean why is it a utility skill;
- Stealth
- All Rogues / Assassins / Thieves whatever tend to be weak in the survivability department. So it's not uncommon for them to have healing abilities to compensate, and if Thieves only had one self-heal, they'd likely go into a downed state pretty often. - It's due to it originally being a heal skill, not utility. should add in the trivia section that it has a blue hue because of this history. unless of course they end up making a new icon --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.243.12.215 (talk).
- The earlier Shadow Refuge had the icon which its replacement Hide in Shadows has currently. --Toroquin 15:16, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Incorrect. Shadow Refuge had it's current icon, however it became a utility skill and it's function changed. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Shadow_Refuge&oldid=156266

Trait Interractions[edit]
This skill interacts strangely with some of our stealth-related traits. For example, with Infusion of Shadow it gives two initiative every time it pulses you. Likewise, with Cloaked in Shadow I'm pretty sure that it blinds every time it pulses (I still need to formally test this, though). This means that you'd expect it to give you might every pulse with Hidden Assassin, but it doesn't. It gives you 2 stacks of might when you stealth, as usual. Then, after six seconds, you get might again, and you get might every 3 seconds thereafter.
Should we add a section on how this skill interacts with all of the stealth-related traits? -Dacromir 14:53, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
