Torment

So am I correct in assuming that this rune does not cause condition damage but only lengthens the duration of it? And if so then this rune would only be valuable to those professions which had access to torment inducing skills? Usaf1a8xx (talk) 19:02, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

It says condition damage, but I'm assuming what you're asking is if it gives the ability to cause torment if you can't already. #6 proc says it inflicts aoe torment on heal skill use, giving any class the ability to cause it, but what I'm wondering is: what's the range? is there a limit to number of foes affected? and, being a Mesmer, does it trigger with Power Return? Because that would seriously increase Mesmers' mob-tagging abilities in PvE. --Ph03n1x (talk) 21:50, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

After using heal skill, 2 stacks of torment are applied for how much amount of time can be a tip below? thanks..delete this question if need be =)

no. I don't know how to explain it simply if you don't quite understand already. Knowing the base duration is the important stat. You have +45% torment duration from this rune. So the 6-Bonus Torment it applies will be 29 seconds long, at a minimum (disregarding any -cond dur on the enemy it hits). Imagine now if what you're saying was used instead. And it said "29 seconds" instead of 20. Now let's think; you're possibly going to have +30% condi duration from trait points (and food, toxic stuff, etc...). If you think "I have +30% condi duration from traits" and "This says it applies 29 seconds of Torment", you're going to think: "So the Torment I'll actually apply will be 29s + 9s (roughly 9s is 30% of 29s), so 38s of Torment". When actually the 30% applies to the BASE duration of the Torment, 20seconds (so it'll only add another 6 seconds). So it's better to work out for yourself that you have a total of +75% condi duration to Torment, and a skill that applies 20seconds BASE of Torment. 5.64.179.51 22:43, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
