Talk:Protect Sentinel Whiptail while he finds and tames a siege devourer
Has anybody managed to do this event lately? I've tried guesting to different servers and found it bugged with Whiptail stuck at the tower. —Devil Boy (talk) 10:07, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know if it's bugged or not, but guesting won't do much now since the move to megaservers. People are compacted into the fewest number of maps for each section so guesting won't put you somewhere new. --Rognik (talk) 10:15, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
I have just tried this event and for some reason, as we are cornering the Veteran Devourer near the cliff, it was just granted a "Determined" effect half-way through its health bar. Event locked, everybody went home. --Shanrack (talk) 03:47, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- I'm a bit late, but if anyone else has this problem try bringing another mob to hit Sentinel Whiptail and kill him. After reviving him both he and the Veteran Devourer can get unstuck and the event can proceed. Or at least this worked for me. Blue.V (talk) 05:01, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
Feedback 2021/07/14[edit]
There is dialog between sentinel whiptail and sentinel scalebrusher before this event start but it overlap with end dialog from escort sentinel scalebrusher and his devours to the pen as this event spawns after that escort when meta is in state There are currently no major operations in the brand. Dialog is: Sentinel Scalebrusher: "All right. You got Branded duty now. These Sentinels are counting on you. Go get 'em." Sentinel Whiptail: "The latest batch of devourers..they seem bit scrawny, dont they?" Sentinel Scalebrusher: "What are you talking about? They just need a little more training." Sentinel Whiptail: "What we need is a siege beast. Something capable of taking on the big Branded baddies." Sentinel Scalebrusher: "Good luck finding one. Here is dialog and mob spawns during the event: Sentinel Whiptail:"Careful. Flame Legion are like cockroaches-you mash one, and three more show up" wave of flame legion mobs spawns, after they are dead Sentinel Whiptail:"Follow me." after moving forward ground shake and Veteran Gigant Devourer spawn knockingback anyone near and run away. Sentinel Whiptail:"Whoa! Did you see the size of that beast! It'll make an excellent addition to our forces once I tame it." following the path devourer run. Sentinel Whiptail:"Enemy contact" and wave of Flame legion spawns after they are dead Sentinel Whiptail:"Curses! It got away! After it!" agian move bit forward Sentinel Whiptail:"It's got nowhere to go this time" and the Veteran Gigant Devourer spawns again knocking people back agian and this time it is hostile at 75% it run away agian. Sentinel Whiptail:Curses! It got away! After it!"(he say that a lot). again escort moves. Sentinel Whiptail:"Prepere to bleed!" and wave of flame legion spawn this seems alwayes contain two flame legion stalkers stationed on rock nearby after they are that Sentinel Whiptail:"Victory!" and does cheer animation. Move phase again then the Veteran Gigant Devourer pop up again knocking back again this time it start on 75% hp and run away at 50%. Sentinel Whiptail:"Curses! It got away! After it!". This time you are directly following the devourer and after it stop on edge of cliff Sentinel WHiptail:"There it is! We've got it cornered on solid rock. No getting away this time!" and fight start with devourer still at 50% hp during the fight Sentinel Whiptail say:"Subdue it before it escapes!" at 25% Veteran Gigant Devourer get cripple effect but still run away, Sentinel Whiptail:"It's got nowhere to go this time." as you follow the devourer a dialog between some flame legion solders standing on nearby cliff trigger. Hungry Flame Legion Stalker:"Look! A meal on legs!" Hungry Flame Legion Axe Fiend:"And it's already hurt! Ha, we're eatin' good tonight!" Hungry Flame Legion Stalker:"I call dibs on the claws." they vanish and spawn again near now friendly devourer cornered on differnt cliff this time and atack it. As you charge in Sentinel Whiptail say:"Those Flame Legion blockheads are trying to kill my new pet. Stop them!" after first wave secund wave of flame legion spawns also with Hungry at start of their name after the are dead event ends and Sentinel Whiptail interact with the Devourer:"Wait, wait, wait! He's hurt bad. Let's try a different approach now." he place big meat chunck on ground and step back the devourer come and eat the meat and full heal, then start jumping happily and Sentinel Whiptail say:"Hehe, that'S right, good boy!
