Talk:Potent Elixirs

Currently highly broken. After extensive testing it increases certain buff durations, Elixir B for example, from 13 seconds (Gained by the 30% increase from the Alchemy tree) to 19 seconds. A 20% increase would be 2,6 and thus 15,6 seconds. In case of the might buff it even increases this from 39 seconds to 58 seconds, a 19! second increase (20% would be 7,8) | Not to mention the mathematical mess it makes with the utility skill "Toss Elixir B"--Haasth 16:59, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

As far as I can tell, a) this DOES apply to toolbelt tosses, and B) it applies a multiplicative +20% duration buff to any boons applied by elixirs... twice. For a pretty significant duration boost. --Pie Formation 15:58, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

Functionality

I did some testing and it seems that many elixirs are unaffected by this trait at all. Like above contributors said, it affects all instances of using Elixir S (including throwing it) properly, as well as throwing Elixir R, but it does not seem to affect pretty much anything else.

• Elixir H: No significant duration increase for boons, which only seem to gain +20% increase from boon duration provided by Alchemy trait line
• Elixir U: Neither consuming or throwing the elixir seems to gain increased duration
• Elixir B: Like Elixir H, only seems to gain increase from boon duration
• Toss Elixir R: Lasts slightly longer
• Toss Elixir C: No visual effect, requires further testing
• Elixir S: Consuming and throwing the elixir both seem to receive increase in duration

By this, I suspect that the trait only affects duration of the elixir itself, when applicable, instead of affecting any of the boons provided by the elixir, except for Elixir S which clearly states the durations of stability, stealth and shrinking and which all receive proper increase in duration. Elixir X

I'm deciding whether to invest in alchemy based on whether this affects the duration of the elite skills Elixir X. Does it in fact increase the duration of Elixir X? 80.101.95.244 19:59, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
