Untitled[edit]
Will any other pvp types be kept from GW1? Or is it just guild battle? I at least think it is fun with RA and AB (even if World pvp seems to look like AB a bit). Therefore I'd like to keep all of (or as many as possible) the old pvp types. Does anyone know something about this? (Kendil 19:43, 17 February 2009 (UTC))
- Noone knows. --- -- talkpage 19:57, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
- One of the ANet employees was quoted as saying, "PvP in Guild Wars 2 will put players against other players." Which is honestly a big improvement over current Guild Wars 1 PvP. -Auron 22:31, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
- I think that some things should be kept and other should be trashed, i like both of the systems but i think that the new one is too complicated, meaning that there is no if your bored with jade quarry then you can to fort aspenwood, or go to ra, ha, and/or gvg- forget what --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Forget what (talk).

Custom servers, custom rules?[edit]
Something caught my eye on the page's current revision: Players will be able to create and host their own servers or games with specific rule-sets.
The cited source makes it sound more as if they are thinking about it, but far away from any definite decisions, whereas the wiki page states it as a fact. I didn't dive deep into the topic of PvP, so I was wondering: is this still the fact? -- Manny 12:10, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- The source linked reads: "Not only will ArenaNet be making up their own servers for the quick and dirty PVP matches, much like the shooter genre's setup, but Eric and Colin said they are considering a plan for players to be able to "create" their own servers or games with specific rule-sets as well." Gonna update the page to match the source ~ Emi 14:49, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
