This item seems to have been renamed Pet Seed - I've gone ahead and created that page and just copied the info, since nothing else seems to have changed. What should be done with this page? 114.23.247.178 03:47, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

The proper procedure is to move the existing page. I'll take care of it. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 03:49, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

ANET is saying this is a bug, that the cultivated seed is what is needed to be used instead of the pet seed. Not everyone has this bug.A Liability (talk) 05:21, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

Source? anet hasn't said whether it's a bug yet. I assume we're going to redirect this back to Cultivated Seed since that's the term used in other item descriptions though.--Relyk ~ talk < 05:37, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/s2/Pet-Seed/first#post4287465 thanks! Either way there ARE players with cultivated seeds still yet, who can make the 2nd backpiece.A Liability (talk) 05:39, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Basically there's 3 seeds- first one you get from episode 3, then you get the cultivated seed when you finish the first backpiece, then you're meant to get the pet seed when you finish the second backpiece. For whatever reason people are getting the third seed when they should be getting the second, or like in my case, the second seed got replaced with the third one when they logged in after the patch went live.Ciramorn (talk) 06:31, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Yeah.. the pet seed has the same ID as the former cultivated seed, someone didn't merge the database correctly... --Tera (talk) 07:12, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
I checked in-game before moving this page, and the Cultivated Seed sitting in my bank had indeed been renamed to Pet Seed. It's the same item, same ID, different name. We'll leave the page here until Anet corrects it. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:14, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
If you're crafting the 1st backpiece now, you do get a Cultivated Seed, but it's at now. You seem to be able to continue crafting the 2nd backpiece with that one. --Tera (talk) 14:18, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Looks like Anet caught on and fixed it by making Azarr Softhoof a merchant that'll take the pet seed and give players a cultivated seed. --Vaught (talk) 00:35, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
