You don’t actually need the letter to progress in Warming Grawnk's Heart. That being said, that message probably tells you that you already completed the scavenger hunt. poke | talk 21:10, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

Actually, I think it means I've already read it. But, I have another problem: do I have to do the scavenger hunt with the character who read the email? The character I tried with (who didn't open the email) couldn't find Grawnk in either his own home instance nor another. Daddicus (talk)

I figured it out: The person who read the letter initially (not sure if this is Laine's letter or the email itself) is the home instance in which Grawnk spawns. That's also the only player who can do the hunt (so those two soulbound goodies I bought are now worthless). Daddicus (talk)

It doesn’t matter though which home instance you visit (it doesn’t need to be your own race’s). Also that one note you added is definitely wrong. You can read the letter again; it probably just won’t work anymore if you have already started the hunt. poke | talk 23:05, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

I visited 3 home instances with 4 different characters. The only one that worked was the racial (Sylvari) home instance of the one who read the letter (or email; it was the same character). Another Sylvari did not see Grawnk in the same Home.

However, we can only do this once. Could they perhaps have changed it? I read the letter as soon as it came (opening day, I think), but then I didn't try to act on it until 2 days ago. Daddicus (talk)

I just checked my letter again and it worked again for me although I already completed the hunt (it was not working yesterday). Can you check and see if it works without any restrictions now? poke | talk 23:10, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

I thought they disabled the letter because of exploitable issue in PvP and WvW? According to Game updates/2014-12-22, it should be fixed now. --Maplemist 23:19, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Guys, I still have this letter but never did the scavenger hunt, I was sort of noobish back then. I want to know is there a way I can complete it now or is the letter obsolete and can I destroy it? Thanks. :) 196.215.176.219 07:03, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

I'm fairly sure you can't do it anymore, but try following the instructions on Warming Grawnk's Heart#Walkthrough and see how far you can get. —Ventriloquist 09:27, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the replies. On that page it says in the notes "You can still finish the scavenger hunt and feed Grawnk the delicacies after Wintersday 2014 ended. When you go to your home instance, Grawnk and the orphan will still show up." I looked for a screenshot where the Grawnk appears, went there and nothing is there.
