Feedback 2017/09/06[edit]

The achievement isn't simply unlocked by reading the letters, there is an additional requirement.

On a new character, the letters are already torn while on a character that has completed living world season 3 content can unlock the achievement. I'm not sure what the exact condition for unlocking is. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.80.238.0 (talk) at 22:16, 6 September 2017‎ (UTC).

Thanks for that extra tidbit. In time, we may get this narrowed down further. G R E E N E R 18:20, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Assassins?[edit]

Who were the "assassins" that King Adelbern had hanged in Ascalon City? I don't remember that. The only one I remember coming to Ascalon from the Shining Blade was Evennia, and while I don't know what ever happened to her, she was a healer, not a killer. --RoyHarmon (talk) 18:01, 2 October 2022 (UTC)

Evennia was the only person ever since to Ascalon City by the Shining Blade.
Additionally: when she was there, she was in Zain's camp, before disappearing. Her disappearance being a minor plot point ArenaNet intended to focus on later before further Beyond arcs were canceled, but LWS3 carried on some of those plot arcs - the mystery behind Zinn's employer, the story of the Seer, etc. They even referenced War in Kryta in their social media during LWS3 development, bringing back the old facebook accounts for the Shining Blade and White Mantle for a bit. Open letters mentions more than one assassin. So at least one assassin is unknown to the player (as of now). So it's also possible that all assassins are unknown to us.
While we know that Evennia traveled to Old Ascalon / King A, those two things might be unrelated.
I don't play gw2 (but am interested in the lore as a continuation from gw), so I don't know what lws3 added as clues.
Zain (if it's the same as in gw) was white mantle - so how does this help the theory that Evennia tried to assassinate KA?
If I read Zinn's page correctly, then it was Palawa Joko who was his mysterious employer - but how does that point to Evennia trying to assassinate KA?
From my understanding, you might have give some clues who might slightly point to Evennia. But certainly not facts. Or am I missing anything? Steve1 (talk) 09:54, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
